I think the majority of players would appreciate an official PVE gamemode

Let me state some things that I believe to be true:

-most enlisted players are very casual and rather unexperienced in shooter games

-most matches get decided by just the top 10% of the veteran players

-despite the very casual playerbase the game can get very sweaty, Enlisted is not inherently a “casual” game.

-the biggest target audience of the game are “inexperienced” gamers, weekend dads or people that just want to play for fun and don’t like the constant sweaty pressure that the game can have at times.

As such I propose that the devs should really consider adding a PVE Coop gamemode of some sort.

I know this has the potential to divide the playerbase, but keeping new players invested should be the priority of the current state of the game.

Considering 1. APRIL is approaching, I think a simple Coop gamemode test run could be the perfect time to try something permanent out.

Also, Coop doesnt nessesarily need to divide the playerbase if implemented in a smart way.

Imagine every player would get to play one match of Coop for a day, where he after completing it successfully gets the daily login roll reward again or maybe some other better reward, but this reward only can be earned once a day- that would encourage playing it once and then playing regular PVP after, or maybe multiple times but with different difficulties. Really casual players only play one or two matches per day anyways.

I bet there are many cool ways to implement such system, but personally I would consider something like having the regular unmodified game for new players to learn the game unmodified, with 10 vs 10, but to add 2 difficulties:

  1. easy mode, 10 players vs 10 AI
  2. hard mode, 5 players vs 10 AI

So… do you generally think a PVE Coop gamemode would benefit the game?

It would also be much appreciated if devs actually put some effort into the pve mode. For example, Last year’s Operation Market Garden can easily be turned into a pve scenario with some adjustments, and it would be infinitely better than the event we got.

I think the first zombie PVE mode was a success unlike the following, because it had similar “constant” action like the base game.

Too much walking was the main problem in my opinion.

i do believe PVES in enlisted could gather new players and customers.

halve the xps to gain 70% instead of 100% so that, pvp players wouldn’t become deserted and avoid pve matches becomes a new " xp farm".

increase and readjust the bots squads to be optimal or even historically accurate ( up to 10 / 12 men in a squad ) instead of suboptimal squads with starter weapons.

add AI tanks ( that don’t leave after 3 mins their own frikin tanks ), add ai airplanes, more tactics to the AI, make them use smokes to cover their advance ( rather than walk the same line in a single file just to be killed by the same machinegun )

increase the timer on missions and resistance and you have your self a pve.

  • increases revenue ( as pve still requires some slots, premium time to increase the xps and silver, premium squad etc )
  • carter to more players and have more active numbers
which, having more players is generally a good thing
  • be accessible to more people

but, as much i would love that, i’m starting to think that’s ultimately never going to happen outside of mods.

because else, events would not become " interestring " or unique.

since that’s the only pve content we actually get.

and would save " them " alot of work, since they would only have to work it every once in a while during the year, rather than constantly monitorate it, avoid farms and what not.

that’s just the sad reality i’m starting to see.

even in war thunder, a game that has 12+ years still does not have a pve ( outside… helicopters. but that was a necessity ) and the outdated / retro tower defense that is only used for crates.

I dont nessesarily believe it would need to be monitored more than the regular PVP gamemode - if implemented in a smart way of course.

For example the coop mode could get limited to only getting XP for the first two matches per day, or to be even only playable in general for one or two rounds.

Or they could give out a daily ticket that allows you to get 100% of the experience in a random mission against bots, like custom matches.

There were times when we naively thought the game could have a single-player campaign. What nonsense that was.

I support this idea. Although I’m also one of those 10% veteran players, sometimes I want to get away from the role of battlefield nanny and enjoy some simple and pleasant PVE game content. It would be even better if there were some standalone story campaigns.

I think it has potential, but I vote no because I am concerned at the current game state that any other mode would divide the player base, which is already quite low. At BRV Germany need to wait close to 3 mins for a match… not looking good bruv
