I think hedgehogs are too overpowered

I just had an invasion game where one of first the capture points was in a barn, and I had enough time to set up enough hedgehogs to block the main doors into the barn.

This barn ended up not being captured because the other team couldn’t get past the hedgehogs and into the building, we ended up just shooting them over and over again as they tried to get through, and we won without losing a single point.

My suggestion is that the size of the hedgehogs are reduced slightly, and in a way where they cant as easily block doorways and entrances to capture point.

I think the size of hedgehogs are fine, but the time to destroy one needs to be reduced.

The main issue with hedgehogs that only players know how to get around them. AI players get stuck on the hedgehogs, but they are not smart enough to look for other routes if they do get stuck, or to distmantle enemy buildings.

I remember a match were I built some in the bar near the windows & doors at the enemy side, the doors were close & after I tried to open them I failed from both sides, I made it clear that enemy forces couldn’t get from those sides.

I’m not sure if you could destroy the door in this configuration but trying to open it from either side is impossible.

The destroy time doesn’t even help if that area is seeing very intense fighting, a reduction to destruction time would be good also if AI would try to go for it too.

doors can still be destroyed even when blocked by a hedgehog

Then its bug in my case since nothing seems to destroy them, for thew windows I made sure they were destroyed before building, not sure if they share the same case though. Maybe since part of them were passing through the doors that the doors became indestructible.

i think that explosive charges should be able to destroy hedgehogs, i think 2 within a 3 meter radius should be able to destroy it( 1 does half the health). They would also make it do anyone that has a toolbox (not just engineers) can dismantle objects twice the speed, making carrying a toolbox semi important for non tankers

There should be a way for infantry to crouch through hedghehogs, since they’re primarily to stop vehicles.

If you build it at a door, there is not a lot of space to crawl through. In wider spaces, you should be able to walk past it just fine.
