after testing out my flight skills, I think I’m staying with tanks.
on a side note: are axis planes even worth using in normandy? Since you just either fail to find something to shoot at for whole match or get shot down in 5 seconds when allied plane comes after you
Axis plane in Normandy are pretty powerful, you can easily get a tonshit of kills when you know where to shoot
Obviously you can’t do much against ennemies fighters but you can get a lot of kills and change the course of the battle in a single run
if you have spare slots you should probably have a fighter (or bf 110) so that you dont get raped as much by p-47’s
also the ju 188 is just free kills really
And I would like to add that playing fighters in Normandy is quite helpful and fun
no 2nd vehicle slots for me, so just suffering from M8 rockets, also yeah, 188 is quite powerful, but lacks ways to protect itself reliably imo
when dogfights occured, it was in fact quite a lot fun, but they’re quite rare to get, and you just end up being more useful in a tank
There is no universal answer, all depends on the gameplay and tastes of each one of us but the tank gameplay in Normandy can sometimes be very complicated due to the the enemy aviation or the nature of the terrain
No ideal answer, test, try and forge your opinion:)
Grab the Ju or Fw. The Bf110 is fun but more buggy than the FW.
ju 188 can be fun, but it can be also frustrating depending on the map. if you get map with loads of open spaces, you can get great multi kills. but on urban terrain it can be mixed bag.

The bombers and atackers are good, but the interceptor iss like this BF is to use in reponse of enemy aircraf.
