I made a spawn point in a hole using a shovel. The objective is bit too open for a good rally so i had to dig that hole myself, therefor i dug a hole using my shovel for (somewhat) protected spawn point so my teammates could spawn closer and help us win. I would have liked to dug a trench all the way to the wall, but alas i started this spawn point hole half way trough the game and therefor could not finish it in the vision i had. I like the shovel
Speaking of shovels… Can we even melee with them? I tried only once and it looked like I wanted to dig in my enemy’s face, who promptly stabed me…
i use main gun as melee, might take more punches though
yea we can it just looks wonky as shit and seems to have terrible hitreg but i have digged a few people to death with it

It looks like proper animations are not ready yet.
But devs clearly stated that it should work both as a tool and a weapon.

Ah! Now that makes me happy! My rampaging days of shovel armed assaults from H&G will resume!!!
it would be nice if the way the shovel digs made more sense. also if it took less time to dig anything short of a microfoxhole
