I like it

Seen a lot of criticism, but for me the merge has done what it needed to. Every battle I’ve played since has been competitive. I get a variety of maps which is also refreshing! And the unlocks are fast, so grind is reduced - I unlocked a gun and a plane from scratch in like 4 or 5 games. The new perk system is also a big improvement.

Yes, there are bugs and quality of life improvements needed.

  • weapon upgrade issues
  • sorting and filtering for weapons etc
  • unlocking vehicles without knowing which said can use them
  • huge backlog of squads/soldiers/weapons needs tidying up somehow
  • let me filter by battle rating for weapons etc

Only downside has been how long it took me to equip a set of squads - but it kind of adds another element to the game, just needs refining.

Just wish the menus were more refined so I could see what I have, who can use what, what rating it is, how to unlock upgrades, sort and filter more etc especially with weapons, add a search option, add a strip all squads/equipment option.

Please also let me leave squads empty - I don’t want to have soldiers in unused squads, I want to move to my general reserve list where I can see them all.

Taken me 2-3 hours just to strip everything, re-equip, perk and dress up a BR 2 deck.

Enjoyed it…could have been alot more streamlined though

for me, alongside the shared sentiment,

the merge allowed me to create more HA squads, get access to stuff locked in other campaigns, and it generally felt a fresh take of breath air.

disappointed largely by customs though… those were supposed to be upgraded alongside the base game.

but oh well…

It hasn’t been terrible for me either, since I like running mostly Tier 2 gear. Matches have been full and actually competitive.
