I guess no one wants to defend in Stalingrad

Just had nice battle right now, where 8 players left at start of battle, like nice of you guys, really helped lol. We won in the end, but still, this is not cool, but at least thanks to those players i could play Gewehr 33/40 in Stalingrad.

Do people hate to defend now or what is this?

Well some points on Stalingrad feels like torture… Huge open ground with lots of ruin and building aside that attacker will only do sniping other than go cap. It’s great if the attacker actually try to attack but most experience I had are boring hide and seek. Playing the attacker yourself seems better, if defender goes on sniping than it’ll be a quick match.

Ngl, Attack i always easier. This one was house defence all the way from first to last point, no open grounds. But players just leave when they dont like it, i can get it, still, if you can win, dont leave. Thats my moto.

I was teaming up with my dudes Bruse and Rupan before this match, we quit almost all denfender match today. Personally I really don’t enjoy the Stalingrad campaign and really want to get over with it max efficiency shit. We were quiting the match ASAP just so you can have other player filling in instead of bots.

Yes, there are some difficult terrain for the attackers in Stalingrad. For me the most problematic is attacking the railroad station from the direction of the tower. Going in from the other side, through the tracks and railroad cars is much easier.
On the defense I try to flank the attacker, get to their side or behind them, find and destroy rally points. I’m bad at hip-firing bolt actions, sniping is not too effective usually so I try to find approaches better suit my skills (or lack of skills :).
I rarely quit because I’ve had some battles where we won after a disastrous start. Quitting just because it’s a defending mission? Why??? :open_mouth:

I suppose they haven’t met order 227 yet,

( which no, not to execute their own men, but to kinda make them understand that keep going east its not a valid option and don’t have much to go further ).

“ jokes aside “

In the morning it’s complete axis victory, and during the evening total Soviet steam roll.

A bit weird and scheduled :joy:

Saves time for maximum efficiency, attacking is usually faster than defending with same amount xp when you got a decent 4-man squad. Like I said above not a fan of this new campaign just wanna move on. Hey it’s the same thing with people quitting conquest, quarry, swamp and berlin trains; we are leaving it as soon as we are in so you can get other people who like the map or mode to join

Tbh i didnt really seem any Soviet steamroll, most of time Germany is steamrolling at least in my games.
Here is my German winrate, 83%!

Weird…

It’s been a couple of day that I stopped playing in the evening due to sweaty medics full of ppsh and explosives.

Or rather, teammates not being very teammates.

But what do I complain about, it’s kinda the norm.

Huh, you must have some bad luck with teammates, in my games its really steamrolls, my winrate in Stalingrad is 83%, that is best from all of my campaigns iirc.

Oh yeah, if you play to get maxed campaign as fast as possible then your playstyle is more suitable for that task. I play to enjoy a game soo i dont really mind defence or offense. But that is my opinion and im not here to tell anyone how to play game, everyone likes to play it differentlly and i respect that.

nah I’m glad you carried your team to a win and got a tons of exp out of it. For other campaigns we used to stay no matter what game modes we’re on, I guess it’s the +800% exp boost kicks in or something lol. Agreed no people should quitting the match once the fighting started, hope darkflow will soon finds a way to put a end on this.

Too many idiots not building rally points when the fact is that building rally points are much more important than any other campaign despite its complicated to find a good spot to place one.

Also defending on this campaign is a real headache with teammates having no idea where to go to the objective and not building rally points too.

Blame DF for their terrible map design that forces the combat in open ground
