Best 3.00$ ever! It is a complete kit with everything bagged up. What kind of maniac throws that away. But it comes with all the sweet Enlisted gear even paras. I realize one thing Enlisted is missing that this and a game called Heroes and Generals use to have and that bicycles.
Nice, maybe you can add in some forums members too?
I was thinking of building it putting the tank on offense across the room in the grey area take half the soldiers pile them up in the corner looking the wrong way, another pile getting blown to bits standing in a strike zone, then it will be complete! Just kidding, I would have got this anyway even if I did not play Enlisted because it is childhood memories of how amazing Airfix was. But playing Enlisted it was like finding a piece of treasure because of their great attention to unit detail. I could totally make it Enlisted by making a rally point drawing a red circle around a cap, a few mines an ammo box.
How boomers played Enlisted before the internet
For real! I had these sets when I was a child. High attention to detail and much cooler than plain old army men. They are more the realm of high end European model sets. Anyone over a certain age might recognize them. Some real classic sets like

But yes much like Enlisted for old people before even the Atari 2600.
If you really want a board game Enlisted experience, then you should check out Memoir '44. It’s bleddy excellent, and has a bunch of expansions too, such as Mediterranean, Eastern Front, Pacific Theatre, D-Day, and an equipment pack that has, wait for it, Hobart’s Funnies in it!
I highly recommend it!

I have been thinking about creating a post about era-appropriate board games. I might just have to do it now.
Are you old enough to know Avalon hill? They made the classics but the OCD ADHD age we live in would drive these kids crazy. I do not think you can get 3-4 people to sit in a room for 6-10 hours and play board games without distractions. It is amazing how that was how gaming use to be. Some of those old school WW2 board games can go for weeks and months. Maybe people will post their physical game collections. There has to be a WW2 hobbiest or two!
Yeah, of course! I have Axis & Allies in my cupboard right now! ![]()
I used to have Hero Quest as a kid, but fantasy stuff never really got me. I preferred Space Crusade, and WH40K. I had a bunch of 40K before I left home. I gave them to my younger step-brother, but he eventually sold it all so he could buy a PC. Which as a techie, I was fine with.
I agree though, I can’t get my kids into Memoir 44, although they’ll play poker with me all the time, lol. And my missus lets out a massive sigh whenever I suggest we play it, so I tend to play Memoir solo.
Milton Bradley had a whole series I owned AA, Shogun, Fortress America and Conquest of the empire. I think there was a 5th one but I also owned Heroes quest, I like Talisman better they completely digitized that game a massive amount of content. I have almost everything in that series as well. I ended up throwing away a lot of it bak in the 90’s because it just did not have the same value it does now. Games Workshop excelled at presentation, Avalon Hill, Steve Jackson games etc etc. We would play ruleless AandA America and Japan at peace takes out half the map.
Memoir '44 Online on Steam FTP!
Yeah, the Steam version of Memoir is a bit sucky. It’s a pay-to-play-type formula. You only get a few games for free until they charge you for it. And it isn’t a pay-once thing either. It’s a shame, because boardgamegeek has a very functional version but also locked behind a paywall. Just not as predatory as the Steam version.
I suppose the next best way to play online is via Tabletop Simulator. Someone created a version for that, which is supposed to be very good.
