I for one actually like the new tank repair system!

Contrary to what some people are saying “Nobody asked for this”, actually they did!

We asked for a better way to repair the structures that were damaged, and be able to fully repair them as well. This update DOES allow for that.

Not to mention the repairs to get moving again are MUCH faster, just at the cost of it not being an overall restoration of function.

I’ve definitely started carrying a toolkit (I use backpacks on a lot of my soldiers for extra medkits) on more of my troops. It makes pushing up alongside tanks MUCH more effective too.

Overall, I think it was a good change, but just needs a bit more polish.

I’d say it’s not great not terrible. Just different.
Tanks still get OHKed most of the time so it’s not a big deal.

I don’t mind it, it really does increase repair speed during a battle because now i can concentrate on repairing the essentials such as tracks, engine block, or turret traversal ring with the option of full health WAY quicker than the previous system.

Also, in case someone isn’t aware, you can repair the same module twice in a row to restore it to better conditions.

is that royal we? cause i dont remember seeing topics about requesting tank repair mechanic change.

faster only if you have to repair one part. if you have to repair multiple parts it is slower. also i have already gotten bug where i couldnt repair tracks.

tanks push??? since when?

Repaired twice since it came in. Very rarely is there a situation that needs it lol.

Its okay. But it does tank longer when you have yo repair every part of your engine lol

So fucking true

  • It tend to make the tank player camp further more behind

You can actually repair it more than twice, you can repair it all the way back to full condition!

They were a while back, but they ARE there. Primarily it was players asking for a way to fully repair components, as the previous system:

  • Only allowed for repairs once SOMETHING was critically damaged

  • You could only repair it once before being unable to repair it again, which meant that while it restored function, the parts were still heavily damaged and even a small hit would disable them again.

  • Was fairly exploitable as examples where the barrel was fried but the player could repair from the back of the tank and restore the barrel’s function.

Now, you are able to restore function to the part that you need immediately quicker, you can repair something even if its only minimally damaged, and can fully restore module health, which is the primary thing people were asking for.

I think the new system of repair is just the tip of the iceberg.

I think they are bringing in new functions for the repair kits, but also likely bringing in some changes to stop greyzone camping with tanks.
Only time will tell, but if I’m correct, the new repair system will make a lot more sense.

Wait… You can repair tanks?
→ Pacific Axis player.

Pretty sure they also ask for Operation/ Doctor Bibber styled repairing which in total takes more time than before.

And you can expoit barrel shooting.
I guess thats fair somehow.

In return for repairing the entire tank in one run.
And also there are perks who supported it and well maybe use backpack instead of greande pouch.

i think that field repairs shouldnt give you full health to components. this should be reserved for garage repair. most often field repairs were jury rigged with whatever materials they had at hand. they were meant to give at least limited functionality to broken parts.

also this is fast paced arcade shooter where repair is already unrealistic with or without modules, so having one button repair isnt bad.

You don’t like it when your Tiger 2’ s high-low machine breaks down. Because it’s difficult for you to repair it.

New repair system is ok, only abusers don’t like it (but it’s ok too).

Enlisted is abusing.
