The M1 Carbine is simply too strong…it was a shit match though. I was hoping for a bit more of a struggle instead of literally just walking onto the point.
I don’t mind the M1 Carbine, but it feels like I am shooting a pellet gun with the sound it makes, and it shoots too slow to get me excited. Kind of the same as the VG 1-5 which sounds like a pellet gun, shoots the same ROF but does hit harder. I do have several squads that are formed around the VG, as for the M1 Carbine it is a filler gun in my assaulter squads. I’d like to have a squad or two based on the M1, however I don’t have as much success with it as I do with the VG.
There are times where I wish I had the M1903 instead, but there are more times that I wish I had the M1 Carbine than the Springfield. Plus, it’s the only real BR II Semi Auto worth using. And it wouldn’t be the US Army if I didn’t spend 30 rounds to kill one person.
I didn’t mind the VG. I just don’t use it much because it’s a Volkssturm weapon and only really suits the Volkssturm. I wish the M1 Carbine had 8.0 hit power like the VG has - it would be perfect then.
If the M1 hit the same as the VG, I would for sure form a squad or two around them. I bought the 1903’s with the Pedersen device because they were so smooth shooting, had a big magazine and shot faster, but the hitting power was weak so I can get shots off first, but had trouble killing the enemy, so I now have four Pedersen guns that I never use. The Smith and Wesson Lite rifle used to be my favorite level two rifle, but they down tiered it to BR1, so I dropped it to my BR1 squads, plus, it hits like an smg, so the M1 Carbine was better at BR2. I think the M1 only hit in the 7’s somewhere when I first started playing if I am not wrong, so 8.8 for a maxed one is much better then they once were, but if raised to match the VG it would be better, which I think would be fine since it still has the 15 round magazine.
Out of all these, I love the Smith the best as far as shooting, and if it hit like the M1 Carbine I would go back to using it at BR2, however, being BP I could only have four, although four is almost just as many as I need to fill out my BR2 squads anyway as they all are assaulter. The Pedersen device and the 6.2 hitting power is just to low to be effective, so although I love to shoot it, it doesn’t do enough damage to make it worth while for me at least.
It’s rare but I sometimes get games that I go through playing my Zero the entire match, without dying, and just keep racking up aircraft and tank kills (2x60kg is enough for the Shermans, if you know what you’re doing), oddly peaceful when there’s no resistance.
Did everyone just sit in the back or what went wrong here?
without dying
Well, did squad members die? Because matxh K/D does not show that but your profile stats show them.
Whatever it was, the Japanese had a anaphylactic reaction to defending the point. I actually found the match quite boring, since I like challenge.
I spawned in as an engineer squad, with only 6 soldiers and I survived 5 points with 1 or 2 remaining. Since the game only really counts squad deaths as deaths, I would say I technically didn’t die (yes I know the k/d ratio is based on the individual soldier, but I don’t really care for the stats).
I’ve done this many times. my trick? I play tanks, and I play very strategically.
its a potent gun in CQC, otherwise you are better off using a bolt-action rifle which is a good balance IMO.
I really hate the new Fedorov 1912 rifle which is has no downsides. BR2 tech tree semi-autos should be a niche alternative over bolties, not a direct upgrade.
I was sort of being sarcastic anyway, since I barely got any kills. But I agree, the Fedorov should not have been added. I use the Winchester instead because I think it’s more effective than the Fedorov. The M1 Carbine to me at least is the only BR II semi auto worth using - 5 round mags are too small.
Looks like you got the highest engineering score in the whole lobby. Good job, bro!
And it’s all rallies too. I always take pride in trying to be the first to build rallies and attack the point.
