this is mainly why I love confrontations, both teams get time to gain positions, build something, prepare and then fight for a point, not to mention that you can also play to attrition, which only enhances the whole experience, you don’t have to rush anywhere, practically every squad type has its 5 minutes. I wish confrontation was played more often, I very rarely get this gamemod, which is a pity.
and cherry on top of all this there is the fact that a team that cannot play well is simply wiped out and there are no artificially extended games.

Confrontation is ultra based. And it lets you just beat campers quickly, double the greatness
All I’m doing is explaining that the reason these “lesser squads” are not used as often is because in 9/10 matches, they are a liability and not an asset. Like a plane that flies around dropping warheads on roofs instead of foreheads. They are not helping your team they are being an active detriment both by reducing bodies on objective and denying a useful pilot their plane slot. Slowing down the game would help these liabilities become assets again
Riflemen Squads are underrated. They are THE most versatile and can be the most effective squad on the battlefield as a Jack of All, Master of None. Seems like this goes unnoticed. Even running all 9 Riflemen you have rifle nades AND “automatic rifles.” These are huge boons to anyone and allow you 9 chances to wipe entire squads repeatedly
Radio Ops are generally pretty used
Mortar Men have a high entry level, low return. They need more TIME
Assaulters award aggressive CoD like gameplay
MG Men are used like bigger Assaulters, but some use them in their intended role of suppressive and oppressive fire. Mowing down entire squads from a good position and dealing with enemies at distances SMG’s may not be well suited for
Flametroopers are one of THE MOST circumstantial squads in the game. Tunisia? Garbage. Berlin? incredible. Just the nature of the beast
Snipers are still garbage. Screw snipers
Engineer Squads require set up. Moving into position, building what needs to be built, fortifying, everything that requires time to do and time no one ever has
Medics are a very niche squad. Why run that when you can run an Assault Squad? The medkits are nice, sure. As are the AI that will heal you. Still, not that much drive to use them. Not much can be done about that though
I’m blanking out on the rest of the Squad types, but you get the gist. Every single one has its own pros and cons. Some can work perfectly fine if they would just be used. Some need a bit of a tweak to the game to be unleashed at full potential. I’m always pro making matches last longer. Triple digit games make me feel some sorta way. If it means some lesser used squads start being used more and match diversity increases, then that’s just even better
Yes we get it. We all agree Confrontation is the best, and MM should make it more common. Your point is made
However, Confrontation is NOT the ONLY GAMEMODE. There is Invasion, Assault, and as much as it pains me to say it, Conquest to consider as well. All of these would benefit from an increased match time in terms of player experience
