I don't like the new m1919 model

The model of the new m1919 makes no sense, for example the barrel is wrapped but since it can only be fired whilst prone or mounted there is no need to hold it by the barrel.

The current model looks somewhat rag tag and more like a event weapon.
This is even more confusing since the US already made a solution to carrying the gun with a hot barrel:

I’d say alternative, but then it just looks like the 1919A6. Which…maybe with less than a 100 rounds makes sense on BR IV.

I like the cloth. It gives WAW vibes. I do not like the unnecessary prone requirement that should be changed to either smaller belt or worse recoil

Don’t get me wrong I like how it looks but I think it looks more like a field mod (like the cloth wrapped event kar98k/mosin) than a standard piece of equipment.

Regarding the video,
I would only take that if it removes the stupid hipfire penalty.

I agree, but would prefer if cloth cold be optional. Find it weird that every gun would have cloth.

You can add a 3rd option :

Keep the future model and add the alternative model for event/bp/premium/TT :slight_smile:

One is M1919A4 and the other is M1919A6. And obviously there’s a difference between the variants. Just like there’s difference between various variants of BARs.

Funnily enough, A6 (the variant you prefer) is already present in the game. And it’s not getting replaced by A4.

Guess the devs are experimenting with new mechanics - just like the new Soviet SMG that has 2000% more damage drop at range.

Dont know what to think about this.

I’m not suggesting that the Devs add the m1919a6. I’m suggesting that the troops don’t need to wrap cloth around the barrel when a bail exists. The bail is shown in this video if your still confused:

What is the alternative model?

I wouldn’t mind the cloth being removed as I don’t think it’s very useful, but I don’t really mind it either…

The m1919 could have a bail instead, that was designed to carry the gun whilst the barrel is hot, so this is the alternative:

Yes, it’s strange. For the prone only mechanism, I’d swap the two, the A6 looks much bulkier than the A4…
