we aren’t at war during Sengoku Jidai rite? this is 1939-1945 not 1540-1600s we dont carry flag of these on the back of our soldier

You can see that the Japanese imperial flag is still on the maps

IIRC it has to do with the Harmonization mode. I believe there is a bug with it that it is not disabling properly when turned off in the game settings.
That symbol is used for Japan in that mode due to some countries censorship laws. (Something Something Legal compliance).
Nop, it’s for easy stream in east asia (south Korea, china, etc…)

Yes, The Rising Sun Flag is seen as offensive and controversial in several countries in the Pacific Asia.
