For the love of god devs please add a mandatory engineer tutorial, force this numbskulls to learn to play as an engineer, add some incentives for the idiots to pick an engineer.
And people please, if you dont want to have a separate engineer squad, at least put a single engineer in your other squads.
" lets see uuuhh, should i pick a class that lets me get back into action asap, lets me have infinite ammo, builds covers and slows down enemies??? naah i`m gonna pick a class that lets me call down arty once every 3 minutes which most of the times kills my own teammates !".
i`m tired of losing games because i am the only guy building rally points, while half of the enemy team has their own personal spawn point built around the map.
like i`m going mad watching most of my team waste time running to the point from 150-200 meters away, losing all the bots on the way and dying without even spending 1 magazine because the enemy has already build a fucking castle around the capture point.
not directly, but people just dont pick engineers, this time it was the enemy that had rally points but not my team, sometimes its the other way around, i`m sure the one guy trying to build on the other team would think the same.
overall despite how much an engineer contributes to winning a match, not enough people play using one.
so imo devs should try to popularize the engineer role, current steps like ability to rearm AA and AT guns are steps in the right direction, maybe increase the points you get from allies using your stuff.
the task for the current event showed that people know how to use and how effective the engineer is,
but not everyone care if they win or loose the batle, they just want to play , and its fair imo to let them play how they want and not how we want them to
imo… ofc.
The problem is lazy, selfish players.
They just want to shoot the enemy, playing engineers is boring
At least that’s what I think the problem is.
Giving extra xp won’t help because they just want to play the perimeter, snipe easy kills and ask for ammo boxes in team chat
I agree 100%.
One of the myriad of reasons I started streams was to help teach new players as well how to build Rally Points and use engineers correctly (Building foritifcations). It is very rare to see me have a game with sub 40 score and usually its between 60 and 95.
The only time its low, is because we are on or being steamrolled lol.
Maybe if they make more rewards? For Fiery November, when that became a mandate it was the only time I’ve ever seen more than 3 RP’s in a match. We had 2 on Normandy Back to back that had 6! Insane!
Make it a reward for Silver Troop orders LOL< that will get the F2P players working.
I think it’s fine because I’ve finally accepted it.
Just finished this Airfield match as Allies normandy
Boosted tickets to about 1800 with 1st spawn as engineer using an AA gun
I wanted to extend the match to finish the event task of shooting down 4 planes and airfield seems to spawn quite a few planes, also wanted to extend the match to earn enough xp to max that faction.
By the time I finished boosting the tickets, I noticed that the defending engineers had gone wild in the objective hanger…Barbed wire and hedgehogs in the main opening and burnt out trucks and AA guns blocking the side and rear doors.
Without those balloon tickets we would have lost……after taking the 1st point we were below 1000 tickets but were able to quickly sweep the remaining points because the defending engineers were out of materials and time to prepare.
My point is….you can’t count on anyone but yourself
It amazes me people dont play engineers more. They are literally rifleman with MORE abilities. Ammo, spawn points, AT guns oh and they can still use a rifle so you lose nothing! Far more useful than a radio operator, AT soldier or rifleman by far
I have a tendency to run out of ammo a lot so I usually spam a ton of ammo boxes out when I can. However sometimes I’m just never in a good position to put down a rally point as well, and that is only if my engineer isn’t the first one dead (I hate when that happens). There are also times when I’m leveling up squads. In these cases I rarely have engineers available because I like to focus on the XP upgrades first unless I’m really desperate for an engineer (for example, in a Mortar squad).
It seems to me that if you are in a position where you are running out of ammo….you are in a great position to place a rally beacon. Unless you are running out of ammo on the perimeter
I like to meme around on the frontlines or on/next to objectives with SMGs and shotguns so in those cases I really am not in a good position to put a rally point down lol.
