Hysteria with Stalingrad paid levels over - we're starting a new day with battle pass delay psychosis

It’s so unfortunate for those minutes of my life, because I have to write this post. But
I am only interested in one question. Do all these “wave makers” play the game at all? Are they forum trolls hired by competing companies or “new school saturated gamer generation kids” who unleash their accumulated youthful maximalism in every possible way?

I remember when the forum was more of a less rational place. Especially the feedback section. In which each theme was well thought out and the suggestions were worth the attention of the developers (like @ErikaKalkbrenner) . I’m glad there are people from that period. It’s just a pity that to this day, we can bury the forum away, and come here after a bad day only to get in the mood and mess with children on the topics "Where do I get 30 Eur!!?? I curse you, devil minions developers, you liars, what I will I do with those extended 7 days of my life!?

It will be so much fun when all the screams say - “ Hey, Stalingrad is my best campaign ever, I love you developers, it is very good that you have put in a few days more of polishing to get such a fun bomb, I am an f2p player but I think even without 30 Eur chopping enemy heads with my free sniper Mkb feels so damn good!"

well, thanks for the kind words

answering to the post, if you allow me to have an opinion based on what i see,

it’s quite normal.

lots of people are quite new to the game, so they don’t fully understand it, which it’s fine.
but it comes down to all how people react and thinks. and therefore that’s why we are in this current situation.

as this game is free to play, it’s quite normal to expect a lot of entries from all type of people since it’s actually free.

it’s the nature of free to play.
but, both sides have some valid points.
it’s sad that we have to " deal " with it in this manner.
( with the campaign not even out yet… so i don’t know how people can be disappointed ).

the reason why haven’t seen alot of these wave before, it’s because the game was less popular back then.

i mean, devs are well aware of this. it’s a bit sad that it’s going to be a bit though for them as this process basically slow them down, but it’s not like they will change how things works based on a wave of new players that barely got 50 hours on it.

i’m sure they can evaluate the situation and improve it for the " greater good ".

if not, people leaves, and join at any times.
it’s not like we have boundaries

but i think it’s important for everyone to express their opinion after all.
that’s why forum are made for.

Can’t expect the players to put more thought into comments than developers are putting into their game.

I would only like them to extend the battlepass for longer than they think they need. Don´t do a week at a time, do 3 or 4 weeks so instead of blueballing everyone who´s excited they can go “Suprise! Update is ready to go!”. The dissapointmeant of seeing the timer extended by a month is less than the excitmement of seeing a suprise content update so to speak.

Yeah i hate all these complaints too, i wish this would be place to just praise allmighty devs, and we could banish all the feedback to another site

When this feedback would be consequent, though…
CBTs too expensive (and useless)… nah doesn’t affect me… gold squads too expensive and partly game-fixing… nah doesn’t affect me… slots… dont care… ass-slow grind… I dont care…

Oh no. Df fulfills their monetization policy and adds ONE DLC campaign and allows f2p players to play a demo of it if they want to test/ play it for free… how dare they?

Now thats… consequent… I guess…

But well… that comes from someone who literally complains that Df offers the possibility for f2p players to play/ test Stalingrad for free instead of making it entirely paywalled.

We had a tough discussion not long ago, and “my complaint” has been dealt with, mostly because of “how I” think about the Meta and balance of the game with the addition to ppsh to f2p users.

Everyone has something they think is at “utmost importance” for the game.
Some may feel like the addition of the “trophy PPSH” for germany might damage the immersive feel of the game, just like others complained about the Panzerfaust for them Soviets. There are many topics that are being discussed on the forums as we all know.

However this time and this specific topic was for me personally more than just “important”
for me not having access to S-Tier gear as a free to play puts paying players into an advantage, even if said advantage is small - I would still consider this pay to win.

People disagree with me about these things and thats fine, nevertheless … I believe we all should speak up if we think something is to extreme importance to us, after all thats a big part of how these forums and discussions benefit modern video games.

Yes some ppl will cry a lot
Yes a lot of “opinions” will pop up that seem out of the world to us
Yes some ppl will even cry “GeRmAnY SuFfeRs” all day long
Yes some might even straight up spread lies just to get their will

I want to tell you that there is one “thought”, one “Idea” that we should not ignore when we see lots of toxic and crazy hate and crying on game forums:

  • players would not put so much effort into these game forums if they wouldn’t care… us being a little over dramatic from time to time only shows that we love the game or at least “would love to love the game”
we are all on the same page when it comes to “wanting” this game to evolve and succeed

let’s say that they can’t even put the campaign completely p2p, even if they sell 5000 accesses they would still be few to keep the campaign alive for months they need fresh meat all the time like in any other campaign

Well. They screwed Tunisia too so its not really due to paywall.

How do You expect a group of independant people be consequential though?
Do You keep record of each users opinions and feedback?

I’ve seen plenty of issues that You brushed off talked already, some many times over, some people don’t liek to repeat same thing over and over.
New issues comes up so there will be new opinions.
I’d rather hear more from f2p, or starting guys than from whale weterans who say same thing over and over, and make same jokes that make fun of any whining here, which means less feedback as people are less inclined to contribute here.

As for Stalingrad, i don’t care that it’s paid, my issue is that it lays too hard on f2p which make up most of playerbase.
If they don’t play it, i doubt there will be enaugh players to fill matches, paying players are minority, and they have 4 others campaigns to play in same game.

Ironically, the whales complained about CBTs…
reddit maggots didnt spam in such a rate back there… most probably never attended to CBT but just spam the knowlegde they gained from the stupid whales.

Good idea. Have some people around who don’t have any clue what Df said and did in the past cause they didn’t attend Alpha and CBT(s). Always sounds cool if people complain about stuff they didn’t pay for.
Unlike the stupid whales who actually bought the access and actually have KNOWLEDGE about the CBT mess or have some background knowledge about the game, unlike people who joined since OBT started.

Oh yeah. Too bad the whales and vets dont write 1k pls nerf faction x threads per day like all those f2p skilled players or woody. Dont know why Df doesnt react to that. Demands to fix the FW bug or to redo the Sa rifle nerfs are not important compared to the demands of people who need 15+ shots from a Pzb to kill a T-60.

As long as Df greedy attitudes didn’t affect the f2p maggots, the maggots didn’t care. End of story.

Well. It was a demo. F2P maggots decided to make this a F2P game, albeit it wasn’t the plan in first place, cause they think Df own them to make everything for free.

hell i remember when it was stupid that you had to pay $60 to even PROGRESS through the berlin campaign…yet people seem to forget that

While I don’t agree with your abrasive wording, I do think it’s crazy that apparently the vast majority of players prefer predatory f2p casino mechanics to simple up-front pricing.
