Well, how should I put it? Ever since the H version was released on the 4th, this thing’s pretty much just there for show. It’s not that strong in terms of performance, but if you want its front hull armor to 100% resist Soviet 76mm shells, you can get it. Even though the side appliqué armor widens the hull, it still gets penetrated by satchel charges.
Compared to the J model, though, this tank uses electric transmission, so it doesn’t have that slow, sluggish turret rotation issue. I think it could be a decent BR 3 German tank for grinding silver lions.
That’s the thing, I main machineguns on German BR3, it’s probably not as good as USSR BR3 smg spam in term of shear strength but it certainly shine in its own way.
In the historical battles depicted in “enlisted,” the Panzer IV Ausf. J could at least withstand long-range artillery fire thanks to its frontal armor. Now, it has virtually no armor and can be destroyed with a single shot. Furthermore, your unreasonable attitude is extremely offensive. Even if the Panzer IV were downgraded to Tier III, the British Achilles’ heel destroyer you’re demanding be downgraded to, like the American Hellcat, could penetrate its armor in restricted areas.
Idk what is the correspondence of 15mm of tracks to steel armor, but they might stop some penetrating hits from a br3 kv-1 (and early t-34 , but who uses them) to the turret (base 50mm). Still, if it’s flat it penetrates 76mm at 100m.
The power of shell in game is modelled base on real data, the HE round for US 76mm only has 390g of explosive . While the US 75mm and 17pdr has 666g and 580g explosive respectively.
That wasn’t the point, I do agree in full heart that HE damage (and anything to be frank) should be based on the real world conterpart, but the problem is the BR. My point was Achilles is basically just a better M10 (by a lot), in which case they should not be in the same BR.
it was barely usefull in the original campaign it was in (Battle of Berlin) imagine now agaisnt much more powerfull tanks, this tank in general is just a money grab, sure you get a few tracks and other things other Panzer IVs dont have, but in general those arent worth nothing, anyone with a brain can 1 shot a Panzer IV even with such armor, stick to the H bro.
Better by a lot? How exactly?? Same hull, one has solid shot with Sabot and the other has explosive filler. They are basically the same vehicle except one is a premium which also justifies why it should be BR 3.
