How to take first capture point on Fortress

I’ve been trying to play axis in Tunisia because sometimes they have AMAZING cooperation and the game goes well, but as many of us know it’s like willing putting your hand in a wasp nest when it comes to aggravation and suffering. Not only is it because the Allies have slightly better tools but everyone early in their Tunisia run invests in Allies (me included) so you’ll not only be against a more consistent skill base but they have far better weapons on average like the Tomy gun in short range scuffles that can shred. And so the first point on Fortress is then Notoriosly hard for the Axis. Everybody knows that this point can just about make or break a game. Even the Germans know they have an Incredibly short window to hard push on start all of the time’s I’ve lost against them.

So I’m wondering how to take this point when the enemy has dug it’s heels DEEP in the dirt. . . like I’m talking snipers on random roof tops shooting you at the most inconveniant times like cooking a grenade or nearly taking a building., assaulters holding 1-2 building before the point, high level tankers with high level tanks, Stubborn Assaulter Rats beaming you from windows, average or skilled sniping rifle squads, a begining level bomber and artillary man, and a spawn time of what seemed like a spawn point within 60 meters, the only thing they didn’t have was a flamethrower which would have tipped me over the edge to rage quit. Because that’s game that I just suffered through and have had to suffer through before.

what would be the best play if I just had average starting squads?

Since you have stated that you have average starting squads I’ll assume you don’t have engineers in Tunisia. Hard truth, you will not take any objectives without engineer. Plus Tunisia is badly balanced, so you’re better off not trying to play axis at all.

But if you wish tactics flank through the left side on the vegetation area and build your rally there, next is to use the 3 detonation packs in the objective to clear enemies (make sure you use a 9 trooper squad as they can bring 3 det packs per trooper meaning you will have maximum of 27 det packs to use) , you may use kar98k schiessbecher as well. Then use an artillery strike to deny reinforcements.

Last point, Tunisia Axis is not good to be played alone, I suggest forming squads with players to coordinate an attack. I wish you good hunting.

Engineering is essential here. First point of this map is mostly taken by my spawn beacon next to the river at the dock/bridge. Players will spawn and throw grenades which will destroy their spawnbeacons just behind the house, plus making all snipers across the house obsolete. Jump in, clear the house while new players (hopefully) spawn at your beacon while you kill everyone trying to reach your beacon at the river from the window above.
I do not have any solid statistics but I would honestly say I get at least the point 7 out of 10 times.
Obviously this all depends on your other teammates as you cant run the game alone but yet, the spawnbeacon at the river is mostly never looked at and an absolute game changer.

For those who recommend using 3 detpacks on all 9 trooper I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this weapon to use ingame

Tunisia is my favorite campaign, if you’re into paying some money, get the PZ.III N premium squad, that thing is literally pay to win

I forgive Tunisia Axis when it comes to det pack spamming, afterall they’re the weakest faction.

spamming shit aint cool no matter how nerfed one actually is, i done seen this dynamite-launcher-artillery taktic in few matches spammed by allies as well with cancer results … i dont consider italians weak but allies might seem more comfortable from the start,besides allied player will always choose allies and axis the germans, i have maxxed axis there and i never felt too weak even before that (im not talkin about semovette bullshit tank, and other weirdos such as ZH-29 or italian weapons behind paywall)
