How to save the new currency system:

Increase conversion rate by 50% or decrease item prices by 33% (same outcome, price decrease will look better for players though).

so instead of 1 soldier silver to 1000 coins, give them 1500 instead.
but as i said, price decrease overall looks better and has the stronger psychological effect.
this will make the new economy balanced and fair overall, also the news of decreased prices will pacify the currently enraged/disappointed playerbase.

BUT: dont do any backyard trickery like reducing currency gain through games etc. parallel to my proposed improvement.
==> problems solved, easy life.

no para, it wont be solved. armies are not balanced in number of campaigns> therefore, armies are not balanced in number of armies you have to gear. every helper, alpha tester, community manager and general company supporter always use the german example, cause it is obviously the one that get the best edge with the new system.

germany have 5 campaigns. so you see HOHOHO if you want to gear germany for the 5 fronts open, you now only have to equip one!!! it will be more expensive than one front only, but much cheaper than gearing five of them!!!

but heyho, have you seen any of them using the japanese army as an example? or rus/usa? the more campaigns an army has, the more it can be somehow justified.

JAPAN ONLY HAVE 1 CAMPAIGN. YET THE PRICES FOR GEAR IS THE SAME AS USA/RUS/GERMANY!

give it a thought. absolute imbalance at its core. germany takes the lion share, rus/usa are middle of the pack with 3 campaigns each, japan only have 1 campaign. yet the price for a gun is the same for all of them. how many assaulter squads you have to equip on each army? oh wow! you dont have to buy 32 gewehrs, only 8!
but we never had to buy 32 type 4s to gear japan, do we?

not even mentioning the rng involved in pulling now, as no rng and only basic star buys on the new system.

HOHOHO! rising a weapon from 3 stars to 6 is cheaper!! HOHOHO!!! but hey, have no1 ever pulled guns and soldiers with MORE STARS than the basic? whats the gain if you buy a gun and it comes already at max stars? that is removed. so now, you ONLY pull minimum star guns. no more 4, 5 or 6 stars on the buy, you ALWAYS have to spend the max amount of silver to upgrade em to max.

literally all your criticisms i addressed in my recent video on this topic. a dude made a precise spreadsheet comparing the current and old prices and weapons/soldiers will actually be slightly cheaper, vehicles will be 1,5-2 times as expensive. depending on the army composition, this already can be a good deal for players. with my proposal here every player will get a really good deal, many players will straight up profit compared to the current system.

good thing! rising awareness is always welcome. though it seems more like digging into some people biased examples to expose the truth than rising awareness, to be honest. on my way to see it!

regarding soldiers, i didnt saw that, im afraid. community manager stated in the main thread, soldiers STILL HAVE RANDOM STATS. they come max upgrade, but NOT max stats. so you get a rank 5 machinegunner III, but the end stats still have variation. that is changed from the initial statements before.

no idea how to quote another thread, not a forum guy in any way, shape or form (too old for that) just check posts by james in the main thread, 10th from top.

Except to upgrade weapon, soldiers and vehicle, you need to get them first… and btw vehicles are not free post merge, also they won’t gift you new weapons and squad when unlock it from what I see…

Lol you only see the immediate effect, you didn’t see the long term effect.
Currently Japan did only have 1 campaign, but dev can add more campaign to it.
If you are using the old campaign system you need to buy your soldier and weapon again for the new campaign. After some time Japan will have multiple campaign like other faction so you need to buy more stuff.

But with the merge you don’t need to worry of buying the same stuff again.

The possibility of getting max star weapon is very rare anyway. The effect of cheaper upgrade will just cancel out the effect of no rng.

ok, it is a matter of trust and hope. pay much more now, in hopes later another front will be added. you have hope and trust on them doing the right thing, i dont.

and about the long term effect, how long are we talking? cause 3 years down the road could seem ok to some, but not to everyone.

have you seen anyone using japan as example for how excellent the new system is? i havent. all examples are based on the absolute best case (or worst) scenario, oh germany have 5 campaigns it will be cheaper for them!! but…balance?
what happens when a new player search youtube for guides on leveling, and everyone and their mothers say japan is way more expensive than other armies? think the new dude will choose the much harder to level army?
leveling difficulty and time required difference will bring population imbalance.

Lol, the prices are the same for every faction. You can’t say Japan only be able to play in less map = more expensive. How is Japan much harder to level?

do i really have to explain this? isnt it extremely obvious? sorry, if you dont see it, i wont be able to make you. there is no worst kind of blind than the one that dont want to see, and i dont want to enter a useless flame war.

give it a good thought and it will come to you, im sure.

Lol thinking yourself knowing everything. You didn’t even want to elaborate the reason. You just hide your idea fearing people to steal it? The purpose of the forum is to discuss, not saying something and refuse to elaborate.

Everyone has different way of seeing stuff. It is a very bad practice to say isn’t that obvious think about it yourself to other people because people might see completely different picture than you.

In real life, the “extremely obvious idea” you have might be entirely wrong so don’t make conclusion so early and listen what others said or else you will easily make mistakes.
