Since the merge update I have spent approx 5 hours trying to set up H, M, L Tier squads for my nations, that doesn’t even consider perks, preferred weapons… the delay on console 1-2 secs didn’t help.
But I am getting tired, I haven’t even finished!
It seems I cannot use what planes or vehicles I want due to how BRs work, so why make this change, I cannot play event if stuck redoing my damn squads… sorry but yes very frustrating
I always made a setup that I then played with immediately.
One 10 slot setup took me ± 10 mins.
During yesterday’s session, I was able to to create BR5 for Germany and USSR. And then BR2 for USSR.
But it is true, I was completely ignoring new perk system. That thing is going to be very time consuming.
I was mostly doing perks and well, 4 squads took me about 1h and approx 30K silver for resets.
30 mins unequipping every soldier and 20 mins making the presets
about 30m and then I just gave up
For US I had like 116 squads and my friend insisted on BR4. It took me over an hour just to scrounge up most of my Johnsons (lul), in the end I gave up and started setting silver on fire just to be done with this nonsense. I wasn’t done with all the perks either.
Russia was less bad since it “only” had ~70 squads…
I spent about 5 minutes, because I had everything prepared before.
Already accumulated >15 hours and counting, the situation is now as shown: there are still 70+ corps, 3000+ daggers, 2000+ bayonets, etc., that need to be dealt with
I havent even bothered looking at anything else other than Japan since that army is the most manageable atm. Also will give me an idea of how to handle the rest of my armies
around 5 hours trying to watch through perks, strip soldiers, and then making up my 3 HA top tier units ( 1 of paratroopers for berlin, another of paratrooper for normandy and the last one fully echelon volkssturm type 1 ( which… i won’t be playing with ) with additionally one of lowest br 1.
i noticed i just wasted all of my silver ( around 300k to upgrade some stgs, some fgs and majority of g43s for snipers etc )
just for germany though 
The prices are hilarious. Getting a set of SVT-40s and SVT-38s, with a LOT of them already being in my inventory and upgraded/partially upgraded set me back 500k. Only so i could still play BR5 exclusively, just with way less capability to deal with it effectively
Edit: and that was only for 4 squads
yeah i can imagine.
luckily in my case, majority of my weapons were already fully upgraded outside the last 1/2 upgrades.
but yeah, from scratch and what not, might be even more expensive.
somewhat afraid to touch russians or americans lol.
but at least i fully decked pre merge my british squads so… at least i’m somewhat good on that front.
as for the soviets, 20k of silver ain’t gonna get me that far 
( edit, i won’t even think about touching perks. they stay as they are )
At least one hour just unequipping everything from all squads - they still have soldiers i will need to take out.
2 hours to look through 1000 soldiers perk points to make space in reserve, still have same amount in just germany to the same
Another hour to just set up one tier 2 BR for one faction.
30 min setting up perks in just one squad
2x for emotional dredd of whole process, half the time brain just stops working
It’s at least 10 more hours to clean reserves, make 3 loadouts for 3 factions, look for good soldiers and give them perks
Took me 1 hour to create… 1 preset yesterday.
Granted, it included:
All for 1 preset. And I still haven’t “sold” a single surplus soldier yet! 
With that min/maxed preset I found out that:
I’d like to say to everyone, “Told you so.”
I am expecting “unequip all equipment from all squads” button in one of the near Making enlisted a better place updates.
That’s why I don’t do not bother to tryhard stuff like this yet.

Ooof that’s gonna be long.
People were expecting one free reroll of perks - it’s here, but only on premium squads.
People were expecting for them to reset all perks - people still have -1/16 vitality dudes for example that can’t be replicated anymore.
People were expecting working squad presets - they still just shuffle your squads and not their eq
I’m not expecting anything anymore
And expensive because changing prices to make them realistic to situation is communism.

Your dedication definitely deserves administration either way.
I am way too lazy for that. So all I can do is wait & pray for that button.
And I hope they will implement some kind of presets for perks.
I really couldn’t bother to change every single soldier in 100+ squads. That’s just not worth it.
With the state of management UI, probably not even gonna try, current “old” setup should be good for customs /shrug
