You can just prone, and even the giant will just look at you without even trying to hit you (there are still a few moments, when it don’t work, but still).
It’s easier to find bugs in this game than normal players.

interesting sometime the zombie also dont seem to be able to hit you if prone (sometime it doesnt work but i wouldnt risk it personally)
Did I write the same thing? It works against everyone except the tank, bombs, and shooters. I do not know about other “bosses”, I did not reach them. In fact, this is not as random as it seems, it is quite a sure tactic if you understand its principle, which I will not describe.
