How I think BR 6 should look

I don’t play BR 5 for about half year. The main reason is the spam of automatic rifles, (especially Japan). Because of this, I switched to BR 3–4, and sometimes I play BR 2 just to relax.

I suggest adding BR 6, so that automatic rifle spammers would mostly stay at the highest BR, while also increasing players’ interest in BR 4.

At the same time, there would be no post war equipment on BR 6, if that is what you were thinking.

Weapons:

  • FG 42-2 + Sniper
  • AVT/AVS (20)
  • T20
  • Auto-Hei (30)

Will move to 6 BR

The early automatic rifles would remain on BR 5:

  • FG 42
  • AVT/AVS (15)
  • M2 Carbine

For Japan, add the 20 round Auto-Hei to BR 5:

lmg

This way, the early automatic rifles would become relevant again!

Of course, this would not completely solve the problem of automatic rifle spam on BR 5, but the situation would be much better.

Vehicles:

  • King Tiger (H)
  • Super Pershing
  • Ho-Ri Production

Will move to 6 BR

The King Tiger (P), M26 Pershing, IS-2 (1944) and Ho-Ri Prototype would remain on BR 5.

Give IS-3 to Soviets on BR 6:

Also, move all jet fighters to BR 6.

Adding BR 6 would make it possible to introduce more heavily armored vehicles. For example, the “Jagdtiger” has been in the game files for a long time, but it would be too strong for BR 5. It would fit much better on BR 6.

Is BR 6 needed?

Bro, your summary is really good.

However, the M2 Carbine does not perform well in‑game. Based on its overall performance, it would be better suited for BR 4, similar to the Kiraly submachine‑gun.

Your general line of reasoning makes good sense. DF ought to add the TT‑prototype Hori at BR 5 to expand the tech‑tree. Even though the Hori is historically fictional, it was introduced to fill gaps within the tech‑tree roster.

Following this logic, Germany could later receive the Krupp 105 mm‑gun Tiger II and Panther II for BR 6. These vehicles are supported by far more complete real‑world prototypes, early blueprints, experimental turrets and component documentation, so their historical basis is much more solid than that of the Hori.

Here is another proposal: split vehicles into 7 battle‑rating tiers, and firearms into 6 tiers.

At present, the gap between BR 3 and BR 4 is quite severe.
Jumping straight from the 4.0‑rated T‑34 at BR 3 to 6.0‑rated tanks at BR 4 creates an excessively steep progression.
Right now, the KV‑ZIS‑5 and Churchill VII are in a rather unfair spot. Originally balanced for 4.7, they are forced into BR 4 where they face 6.0‑rated vehicles.

If they get moved back to BR 3, they will overmatch BR‑1‑2 tanks which cannot penetrate their armour. That is the core problem.

We would need to shift a large number of BR 3 and BR 2 vehicles down one battle‑rating tier.
Lower‑rank tanks would then be able to penetrate each other more reliably.

Vehicles such as the Panzer IV F2, StuG II, StuG III G could all go to BR 2.

Certain open‑topped, turret‑less vehicles armed with 75 mm or 100 mm guns could be placed at BR 1.
I have long thought the devs’ rigid rule banning guns above 75 mm from BR 1 is too inflexible, much like the rule keeping machine‑guns out of BR 1.

Vehicles such as the KV‑85, VK3002, SU‑85M, KV‑122 and M4A1(76)W,,KV‑1‑KwK 40(r) ,T1E1 /76 /90。which sit around 5.0‑5.7, occupy a very awkward niche. An additional battle‑rating tier should be created for them.

Proposed battle‑rating layout:

  • BR 3: KV‑1/ZIS‑5, T14, Type 4 Chi‑To, Nashorn
  • BR 4: KV‑1 7,5‑cm‑KwK 40(r), Type 5 Chi‑Ri, T‑34‑85,Sherman E8,
  • BR 5: Tiger, Panther, IS‑2‑1943/4, Jumbo 76w
  • BR 6: Tiger II, T‑44‑100, Hori prototype
  • BR 7: IS‑3, jet‑aircraft, Hori, Jagdtiger,maus,E100,T-29,T-30,T-34

Proposed infantry‑weapon tier division:

‑ BR 3: event‑acquired semi‑automatic rifles with 10‑round / 15‑round magazines
‑ BR 4: semi‑automatic rifles with 20‑round magazines
‑ BR 5: fully‑automatic weapons with low magazine capacity
‑ BR 6: fully‑automatic weapons with large‑capacity magazines

Right now the performance difference between semi‑automatic rifles at BR 3 and BR 4 is minimal. Differentiating them by magazine‑capacity would be a more reasonable approach.

Honestly, you are really impressive. You put a huge amount of work into arranging images and organising text, hoping to make this game better.

Yet the current game state is far from ideal. On the surface every tech‑tree seems reasonably balanced, but there are severe imbalances at BR 2‑3 and BR 4‑5.
The gap between BR 3 and BR 4 is minimal, so few players play BR 4, while BR 1 feels very bare‑bones.

As a result, most players cluster at BR 3 and BR 5. All other tiers offer a poor experience, where you mostly get out‑matched.

Veteran players grow tired of this stagnant meta over time.
Motivation based purely on grinding for loot‑boxes is quite dull. On top of that, loot‑box rewards are heavily diluted: you mostly get pistols, decals and vehicle skins, which quickly become boring.

Migth work but it needs testing first

Hmm‑‑I feel DF is unlikely to show much interest in these proposals.
Player‑made mods and custom maps shared for community testing might reach a far wider audience instead

I just want br6 already so people can stop complaining about how they play 4 and then stomped by 5 or that the equipment difference is so bad.

Exactly.
First introduce BR 6, then BR 7.
BR 6 would at least ease the issues caused by the gap between semi‑automatic and fully‑automatic weapons at BR 4 and BR 5.
A future BR 7 could resolve the awkward matchup between the KV‑1/ZIS‑5 and Tiger E.

This would means that we are dividing even more playerbase which already thin enough by adding more BR into the game. I’d rather prefer balance the game with what we currently have instead of adding even more BR and adding even more jet craps and etc. Might as well just go for the cold war era and adds AK-47 and T-54 and stuff at that point.

I’d do some changes to this proposal, but overall BR 6 is the next step

Just make BR5 a stand alone BR rating.

传说巨神伊迪安 agree the m2 is not an fg42 counter part nor is the sp to the kt-h but us/uk better planes axis better tanks

Exactly just move all the meta stuff to br 6 but the tiger 2p should be br 6 aswell same goes for the 6x250kg bombers and p47.

It’s easier to separate 5 br from 4 br.

yes ofc but the the equipment balance in br 5 is all over the place too so adding br 6 would solve that and make a “smoother” transition from semis to full auto.

Speaking of the Jagdtiger: without HEAT‑shells available, it becomes extremely formidable in armour‑penetration engagements.
Only its lower‑hull transmission compartment can potentially be penetrated by 122 mm or 100 mm guns.
More often than not, bombs are required to take it out.
It is an extremely tough opponent. Unfortunately, the maps are not large enough, obstacles cannot be cleared with machine‑guns, so it cannot make full use of its long‑range sniping advantage.

BR6 is total nonsense dreamed up by incompetent players.

Half of the factions don’t even have BR4 tech tree standard rifles, yet they’re pushing to spread the already limited content of higher BRs across even more BRs.

The most bloated BR is BR2. If anything, they should add something like BR0.

But even that would extremely pointless.

The real problem with higher BRs would be solved by a ±0 matchmaking system. But that will never happen if an incompetent player base keeps pushing for unnecessary and outright anti-player changes.

But whatever, this community will never learn.

All fake stuff like Su-9 1946 and Hori 2017 => to BR6 with ±0 MM and free for all for that BR, all factions against all factions on all maps.

It is undeniable that there is a massive gap between BR4 and BR5, while the difference between BR3 and BR4 is fairly small.
Setting aside the tech‑tree layout, every nation actually has semi‑automatic weapons suitable for BR4; it is just that DF did not take the tech‑tree progression into account during the design phase.

That said, I do think BR0 is a worthwhile idea. It could represent conflicts with outdated equipment such as the Sino‑Japanese theatre or warfare before 1937, as well as the Polish campaign.
Tanks and armoured vehicles armed only with machine‑guns could then be moved to BR0, and World War‑I‑era machine‑guns could be shifted to BR1.
