I managed to hit level 50 in the battlepass and decided to get the Pederson Device for the Allies on Normandy. If you main Normandy, you’ll probably be wondering which gold weapon you should get. Its up to you, but I would argue the Pederson Device is the right choice. What makes the Pederson Device so good is its fast rate of fire (roughly the same as an unupgraded MP40) and practically no recoil. It will fire as fast as you can click your mouse/pull your trigger. It’s recoil at 16 vertical and 4 horizontal is so low I can just keep clicking on enemies 100 meters away and down them without needing to wait for the barrel to lower between each shot.
The next big thing that really sells it for me is the ammo. It comes with 5 40 round magazines. This ensures you almost always have enough ammo for that character. It also means you don’t need an ammo pouch for this soldier and you can run a grenade pouch or backpack instead. I’ve found myself pretty consistently to be able to drop 20 kills in a life without an issue with the Pederson Device. I would definitely recommend this weapon for all Normandy players.
