Rename tech tree to Western Allies.
There are legimate reasons for and against seperate tech trees for UK (and Italy).
But main issue not really their lack of weapons as a lot of weapons are US weapons were actively used (eventhe M1G), but at some point, copy+paste can get too extreme.
Or add protos and zombies from WW1, but this would make other mains asking for more protos and zombies becoming main grind weapons which would make the game even more ridicilious.
It also make the US tree smaller since the Americans did not use a lot of British weapons, at best a couple of rifles and one Marine unit the Boys.
Still better than nothing for any “founded” discussion about BR I suppose.
(Also I doubt the tech tree will be changed much after they reduced the levels)
On one hand I’d like an independent British faction so they can shine. For example, I believe some of the Normandy maps are from the British sectors
Heck yesterday I was playing Normandy and there was noticeably more British weapons than usual and I laughed to myself that I’m getting killed by Lee Enfield, Bren, and Sten wielding Americans
On another hand the overall dev logic is that America and Britain were operationally working together and thus a single faction
On another hand America really does steal the show from Britain, for example I can imagine we’ll eventually have maps with Americans storming every single beach, and I’d prefer Britain standout more
serious question, ppsh with box mag vs MP40? any opinions about that?
There shouldn’t be no reason why either of those can’t be in every single battle on the Eastern Front
Unless if BR mucks everything up
The hour seems pretty late. I feel like there wont be any discussion, BR will drop just before patch, or with it and you will get what you get.
Pitty
I had theory crafted a possibility to keep “most” gear active across all campaigns but still follow BR rules. Its not perfect but I could see it working (loosely based on time line, with some Power Level)
Very keen to hear what they are planning with BR…as I have been for the last 6-8 months.
Actually its very nearly the only Infomation that mattered as far as Im concerned
Ppsh41 is still one of the best SMGs of the game so it will definitely get high BR which means that even if it isn’t the same BR as AVT, FG42 and StG44 you will still likely face them due to getting uptiered.
Huge predicament: play svt40 and ppsh41 hoping you don’t get uptiered or ditch svt and use avt instead which is instant max BR.
We didn’t even consider other equipment such as tanks, aircraft, AT weapons and so on.
Stick has like 0.2 dispersion.
Wouldnt it if it has normal SMG recoil.
But does anyone else think it’s ridiculous that one of the most common SMGs of the Soviet that fought from the beginning to end……would arbitrarily be locked to some specific late period all because it has a high RoF and drum?
Light tanks in their respective campaigns are certainly able to compete even alongside their heavier brothers. For example, the Puma can take on Jumbos, the T-70 can take Panzers, and even the Stuart can take Tigers
I can’t help but assume your measure of a vehicles worth is whether it’s able to one shot something directly in the front
And I know you would say something about gray zone campers or whatever, but again in my experience most vehicles tend to be right there in the play area and not too far out of reach. And even then all it takes is for the tank to make just one movement or turn
And even then as I said destroying the tank front pen lol one shot xD isn’t the end all be all of combat. Disabling parts is just as valid. All that matters is you’re fighting the tank one way or the other.
If you’re a light tank you can support infantry and fight what vehicles you can, and if you come across something heavier than you you can fight it where you know you can or just disable it
And I think we all agree that if we were to have a giant map we may be able to see vehicle dynamics truly shine. But as I say for now I think the game is fine in its current state
This argument is ridiculous, no serious Jumbo player will lose to a puma, no serious Tiger player will lose to a Stuard.
There’s not many serious players in enlisted overall, so it’s kinda irrelevant.
I am so happy when I encounter on. It’s so relaxing to let someone else just carry me while I can try do weird things and experimenting.
But mostly, I just have to carry my team if I want fkn bonus for victory.
I assume by serious you mean sitting far out of enemy reach
It’s not black and white. Obviously you may not be able to deal with a crouching Tiger sitting way in the back of the map
But with many things it’s all about the flow of the battle. Yes the playable map isn’t that wide open but it does provide some opportunities and as I say in my experience I don’t really encounter that many explicit gray zone campers and most vehicles are never too far out of reach
To give an example, a Tiger could be sitting around the objective and I could be a Stuart and he hasn’t seen me so I race to get parallel to him and shoot him in his vulnerable points.
But as I say every vehicle has its roles to play. If I’m a Stuart I’ll be primarily supporting the infantry and fighting what vehicles I can, and maybe if the right opportunity arises I’ll fight a Tiger or whatever.
Even then the entire vehicle system is balanced in the dynamics of just plain destroying enemy vehicles. Player A spawns vehicle, Enemy destroys A, Player B spawns
Battle ratings actually aren’t that important in the long run. Sure, poorly balanced ratings might be annoying in the short term, but they will be easily adjusted based on the raw match statistics that will be available to them.
Though if you want to theorycraft on what battle ratings would or should be for the fun of it, by all means continue.
As long as my MP-41(r) is in the same tier I’ll be happy.
Believe too much in Gaijin huh like how do you explain BRs of certain vehicles like the 76mm Jumbo at 6.3, T-64A share same BR as T-72A, Tiger II(H) facing ATGMs from 20 years later or even more egregious examples like R3 in early WWII tanks and BTR-80A in mid WWII? Basically examples from War Thunder due to where Enlisted is going to copy such a system.
Guess why there hasn’t been any demonstration of effective BR content in 9 months?
and why there’s a lot of unrelated content in the dev test server, collapsed in a folder
while i understand the concern i believe it is pointless to make a discussion about BR, why? because things which might sound good on paper can be bad when put to the test, i believe the best way is to first play games with BR when it comes out and then disccus how much BR a gun needs and how it should work the system
I somewhat disagree. If we voice our concerns now it may impact what the devs end up producing. It’s a constant seesaw between our feedback and the dev work
Yes this game is a constant work on process and will continue to develop and I’m sure this will not be the end all be all of overhauling this game. The “BR” and everything is liable to change, I’ve even said for all we know they may up scrapping some things and move on to another new overhaul
Overall I think these conversations are very important
Pfff
Except again the 76mm Sherman and the Panther and the Tiger all do the job better and can do what the shitty lights can do except better.
I think I already explain you why lights are useless. They cant flank 9/10 times. Thats how lights work, that how they work in WT and thats why they dont work in Enlisted.
And just fuck off with your muh expierence because it doesnt reflect reality.
Nobody wants to know about you being special because it doesnt reflect with vast majority of the game flow. Especially from someone, who doesnt even use tanks like tanks but like taxis with cannons and begs the enemy to kill him because playing good is meta whoring and you dont feel special.
That is by far the most stupiest thing you said yet.
A dead tank cant really shoot back. A disabled tank can eventually. OHKing the tank is shorter than disabling it. Its simple math. You also get points from killing the tank and at best assists from disabling it. Heck, even a 76mm can disable except it does even more dmg than the 37mm so whats the point?
Amazing how someone can u-turn in the very next paragraph.
