If the problem is that high-level users slaughter low-level users, introducing matchmaking rating would be better for maintaining balance than adding bullet distribution
this is a method that is often used in games with a wide gap between users such as League of Legends and is also suitable for unlock FPS such as Enlisted
What do you think about balancing people first rather than controlling everyone’s weapons to balance them?
First bring more players to each campaign then things like that makes sense.
Nah
The overall population of the game needs to honestly acquire skill
Also this
Just because someone has the braincells and know how to push a point doesn’t mean they want to face full teams of tryhards all the time
The only reason there’s such a gap is because 99.99% of the playerbase is horrible and are honestly hard to differentiate from bots.
But if you think it’s a problem for someone who knows how to do it to slaughter someone who just came in, you should consider this first
Or it’s just to sell new soldiers
New players should be put in bot lobbies with other new players until they reach campaign level -9 or so tbh
Past that they get thrown in with everyone else
sounds pretty bad, ngl
just make it per 10 level
lvl ≤10 play with another lvl ≤10, >10 ~ ≤20 with another >10 ~ ≤20, and so on
dont turn this game into ranked bullshit, the grind is already stressing enough
But what about people who don’t want to play with all end of campaign gear?
Or are you not talking about campaign level being the variable
just like war thunder BR but using level and cannot be reduced, only can be raised
That sounds awful
If your suggesting we do something from the most toxic game to exist then you’re either high or drunk.
This is shit.
Match them with some players and mostly bots until lvl 10 and then they get thrown in with the rest.
That sounds like you can only fight better players as you go up. If a player stops playing for a bit and come back, they could be playing with very experienced players. doesn’t seem like it’ll work to be honest.
Meh. Being high lvl in a campaign doesn’t mean being good, at all. I’m very high in many campaigns but consider myself average at most: I seek to have fun before anything else. Some evening I feel a bit more tired? “Meh, I’ll play sniper a bit”. I rarely end match being top 3 when I do this, but I’m having fun doing it, and new low lvl players get the top spots.
Restricting players to play only at their lvl would be boring at best. New players would not get the “woaaa, I want that too” inspiration to grind (like when I saw a t-28 for the first time) and more casual players like me would tire of just facing competitive try hards. You’d just end up with a very small hardcore veteran playerbase in the end, the others having merely left.
In fact, Enlisted’s matchmaking is good enough, but I just don’t like the excuse that we did it for balance
by the way did they say it was because of balance?
still better than current system where there’s literally no limit, even just now i annihilated lv ±5 guys into oblivion using panther in normandy or sometime the game match lv 32 player like myself with enemy full of bot
it’s just funny how you guys saying my idea was shit without any explanation nor Alternative of your own, good ol’ shit talker
No… in fact nobody asked for bullet dispersion. No one has any idea why the devs thought this would be a good idea in the first place, as it pleases nobody. 🤷
Developers were probably inhaling special substances at the time of the decision about bullet dispersion because nobody wanted it.
nah bro, learning 2 play? nah lets blame every little thing we can pick apart from the game lmao.
Yep also similar feelings. When I hit max campaign level I tend to chill out more and have fun because at max level winning that xp bonus isn’t that big an incentive for me as for lower levels.
My usual focus is usually leveling squads I probably won’t use to max so I can put them away, training soldiers and having fun.
While I enjoy tough game or two against other vets from time to time I wouldn’t want every game to be like that.
Agreed random bullet deviation really doesn’t help anyone.
If anything it hurts new players more.
However, this game has a small number of players.
