Had been thinking specifically about Armas “king of the hill” gamemode, where people fight over the central area of a capture point - which gives double the capture points over the regular outer zone.
So you basically cap an objective as soon as you get into the capture zone - but if you manage to get into the centre zone you capture faster ( one soldier counts as two )
This could allow for bigger combat areas and theoretically make sense for bigger maps in general.
Often tanks, artillery and explosives have the power of completely locking down a capture point, a bigger active playing area could turn these less into a meat grinder.
Many people here on the forums ask for bigger maps - I think bigger gamemodes are the key for achieving this.
basically how strongholds work in hll, you fight for strongholds and area around them multiplies your capping rate, I love the amount of action in enlisted but I certainly HATE the meatgrinder.
I think the meatgrinder aspect of this game is really unnecessary and just detracts from the gameplay. It makes everything feel so mindless and meaningless…
I also really like this idea.
Maybe introduce the concept as a separate match type first to see if it catches on?
I see no harm in that.
Bigger cap areas would in theory also nerf rally points, as they would have to be placed even further away, and help lessen the meatgrinder aspect within the center zone even more.
