Hot take. I encourage everyone to desert

So long as gaijin punishes team players and makes it so that only one person (such as me) sweats extremely hard building all defences and all rally points while the rest of the team moves like they have the intelligence of a goldfish i encourage allnof you to desert. I am sick and tired of getting 1500 silver for these insane games where all our points are taken within 5 minutes. I am tired of sweating so hard and literally constantly spamming chat with ‘build a rally poiny good job no’ to no avail.

I KNOW this game has squad based matchmaking. Because IM a console player who constantly wins all the top badges for supporting all platform players, who again all have somethig in common. They are allergic to objectives. Refuse to build defences or anti vehicle imlacments and refuse most of all to build rally points.

Since deserting games the moment my team loses a point within 1000 to 900 points i have no only kept my sanity but been able to play better games. The desertion penalty is WORTH it. Because you will make MORE silver with the penalty on a actual game played then the joke of game where you support a full team of donkeys.

Untill gaijin fixes this not only with making rally point building more of a focus and aware to players but also removes Squad based match making.

Don’t force me to do something that’s just not fun. And building rally points just isn’t fun. The longer you play this game, the more annoying building rally points becomes.

I am not playing WW2 game just to hammer air.

For a long time I was never a huge deserter, then the BS map/mode system changed that and made me a huge deserter. When you take the time to give the Dev’s all your thumbs up and thumbs down requests, and then the system “TOTALLY IGNORES” your choices constantly shoving you into the “ONE MODE” I chose with all of my thumbs down choices, I finally said f**k it and tossed in the towel.

That’s the reason why I play almost exclusively in my own custom matches now. I NEVER play a mode I hate, never play a map I hate, and other then tolerating the same shitty ai squad bots. I also never encounter less then helpful teammates . I’m playing for fun, not anger and aggravation. However, the trash AI squad bots do still frustrate the hell out of me. :expressionless:

Yes, other then my squad bot frustration, I am at one with the world.

I leave around 80% of my matches - and I will keep on doing so unless the game gives me the ability to choose my maps.

To be fair as of now rallies are pretty rewarding if your team actually spawn on it, the rest of the fortification though are not as useful, idk how will gaijin change it but some of the neatly placed barbed wires need better reward too.

It would help if they increased the reward for rally’s spawn (again) and building them and decrease the time to build them (from like 12 sec without perks to 6sec) and allowed you to order the one engineer an a squad to build the rally for you while you attack/defend. In the end you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink, however you can incentives those who might otherwise not bother. Engineers are the backbone of enlisted they should add engineer 3 and shove them into the free medic squads with a SMG to incentivize newbies to use them. Better tutorials might help too to emphasize how important they are, I can think of lots else but this is already too long…

I can’t even “dislike” reverse D day, the map preference system is a joke and should be changed.

I typically desert until I get a mode/map that I like as I don’t have unlimited time to play Enlisted every day, having a -20% penalty doesn’t change that. I’d rather get slightly less xp than be forced into 3 conquest matches in a row.

There are games like Battlefield or CoD where you literally just jump in to shoot, kill people, and blow everything up if fun is all you’re looking for. But if you join an ultra-specialized game like Hell Let Loose, don’t cry if people vote-kick you for not playing the objectives. If you queue into something, you accept that there is a basic foundation you have to follow…

On the other hand, I also agree that you don’t have to do absolutely everything. There are 15 players in a match, and you don’t need 15 rally points; that being said, while it’s clear that the entire weight of the match shouldn’t rest on a single player and the workload should be shared, saying that you load into a game and don’t care about winning or doing anything at all… maybe you should rethink if you actually want to play. Because I definitely log in to win—having fun is just a byproduct that comes with it.

Im no deserter, no matter what game I play I always stick to match, But.

Lose or win, I always end up getting 500 bonus silver from medals, and plus I have more than 5k score. but always end up with 1500-2000 silver, of course there are times when it goes to 2500 or lower but usual silver gain for me is 2000 every match, which is pure joke and disrespect.

combined with the game pushing us to play “team play” with bunch of randoms that either 12 years old or has no gaming experience or 50+ years old who wanna walk around map and do their own thing all match. so in the end we get punished by other ppl’s play style, their own interests etc.

Best thing to do is completely rework rewarding system, don’t give rewards to who lose or who win, just make sure everyone gets their own gain according to their own style. if a dude got 3k score then give his experience from that 3k score instead of nerfing it.

To be honest, some matches just aren’t worth playing. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t mind losing if I gave it my all, my team gave it their all, and we simply lost because the enemy was better. But when you are the only one with half a brain cell doing everything, your own mental health comes into play. At the end of the day, it’s just a game, and if nobody else is planning on playing, you shouldn’t have to carry the entire weight of it. Therefore, I also leave the match if it’s unplayable.

In fact, I was totally against the leaver penalties; I made several posts about it. And after they implemented the penalty and everyone saw it was completely useless because people would still leave anyway, I made even more posts about it… It is completely stupid to punish people for something the devs can’t control. That’s exactly why I stopped playing LoL (League of Legends)—because that game is completely designed like a prison to keep you chained to 4 people who might have just queued up to ruin your day instead of actually playing.

Totally agree, the devs are complaining about what they themselves are preaching. You can’t ask people to play as a team when you’re rewarding individuality and raw score.

I proposed this for years. But dum dums preferred the penalty system we now have. Mostly spiteful ppl who don’t care about solutions but wish to punish others because they are personally upset at them.

Look how well that worked out

yeah i literally desert 2 match which is not something i usually do simply because those 2 match werent fun. Beside i just want to play the game not carrying the game if i want stress i could play other game.

“Teamplay isn’t fun” I mean, there could be better ways to implement the respawn system, but literally saying that helping you team win is not fun makes me understand the type of player you’re and ewgh

Always remember that according to Ronald McDonalds (or Euthy), penalty worked as intended and lowerd the number of desertion or deserting players.
Of course, they never bothered to show the numbers to us peasants because that would be communis.
But thanks to the weird data webiste, I could see the number of deserted players on the desertion list versus the total number of players.
164,520 players
338,050 players
That is around 50%.
Is this a sucess for them?
Plus this is JUST the numbers of players who quit mid-match.

Well, I am kinda on Adam with this one.
It takes “forever” to build them, it is so annoying to get killed mid-building by random jackass running from a corner or explosives and there is next to no variety. You cant build them on certain levels and attics because the AI cant climb down. Cellars and some areas are too narrow for them.
Not to mention that you dont always want to constantly build rallies, but you always end up doing it because no one else wants to.
I think making them faster would solve half of the struggle.

Just plunking them down would improve them, yeah. But you KNOW most people just do not care for team play… in a TEAM BASED GAME and then we lose the match.

Maybe having 2 separate rally points would solve this, like 1 that is just plopped into the ground that lasts 20 uses, like the one we currently have and a build-able one that is indefinite, like a mix of the RP and the APC would make so we can have variety and choice when it comes to being a teamplayer.

Please, Captain. Of course they know better! Us uneducated yokels know nothing about such complicated matters!

What’s important is that deserters are punished! Does it solve anything?

Not at all!

But they’re punished! It’s what a good manager should strive for…

They are not. I can freely desert whenever I want. And I am completely unaffected by any relevant negative outcomes.

As of now, there are no proper punishments for desertions.

And it’s thanks to people like you. who boycotted any meaningful punishments.

Do you quit more than Joe because Joe made you?
What a excuse. Proud Supporters never take the blame, its always the communists or freeloaders.

And what does it tell about you? You need restraints in order to not degenerate or what?
