Without a parabola, it’s hard for me to throw a grenade or a flask out of a small window.

It takes time to learn trajectory of a projectile:) This was a unrealistic feature taken out of the game, thanks for your feedback!

Well the issue would be that new players never had access to the parabola, while old players did. So experienced old players can still just imagine the aiming line and be fine, while new players have to learn it from scratch.

Well it means that there will be an “elite” alpha tester group that has much better accuracy with grenades than anyone else. Not sure how I feel about that.
My point is if they are going to make the change they should do it now, so the number of “Elite” alpha testers is incredibly small in comparison to the amount of players who wouldve gotten that advantage had they waited till the game went public.

I just don’t know whether it is better to give everyone access to this aiming tool or nobody except for a select few.

People say that it’s “unrealistic,” but in real life I have no trouble knowing where a ball will go if I’m throwing it through a window right next to me. It’s not realistic to have to spend time learning (and remembering) the arc mechanics of every different game I play.
If you want to make it realistic, perhaps make the actual throw be in a cone around the projected trajectory, which widens the further the grenade gets from the thrower.
Tbh the grenades kinda needed the nerf. Even now they’re really easy to use once you get used to it. If they brought it back, there would have to be a different nerf. Damage, range, whatever. I prefer it as it is now
I like it better without the visual aid. After a while you kinda know how to throw it. It should be easier for testers who were here from the start to figure out since we’ve seen the guide already. It will take the rest of them a while. It’s not the difficult.
Also, people make mistakes irl. You don’t always ace a throw through a window. I certainly cannot even if my life depended on it. The new update reflects this very well.
Maybe add the visual aid to the tutorial if people want to learn how to throw grenades. That should give them a good idea on where to throw it.
