HMG for axis cannot aim like allies why?

Not sure if this is HA but allies can place HMG on first, even second floor and shoot downwards, axis HMG seems a lot less capable and the negative aim angle is significantly less.

Is this due to way their tripods worked or just a balance thing that could be tweaked?

It not connected with how it’s mount works. It looks to have enough sway to aim even vertically downwards.
Also fun fact, both this mount and MG34 mount have clipping issues to give them more aiming angle.

So it’s due to balance.
Weird yes, but who am I to question the divine vision of devs.

This might be related to the Rate of fire of the german HMG. According to wikipedia both DshK and M2 .50 cal can fire between 500 to 600 rounds per minute. MG 131 (German HMG) is supposed to have 900 rounds per minute.

However this could be entirely false because I don’t know if those weapons actually have different rates of fire in game.

If they balanced rof by limiting aiming angle, they should be lobotomised.
This makes less than 0 sense.

DShK cannot use the regular iron sights but instead fixed on the AA sights.

Iirc this was alread addresses by giving its 0.2 bigger dispersion.
