Hitting japanese soldiers in their heads with 7.62mm MGs

and they still don’t die, other times i’ve hit the ground directly near them with 37MM High explosive shells and nothing happens???

you need to hit them directly with low caliber guns. even with higher caliber when aiming to ground splash damage is bad. so aim for walls or directly at soldiers.

technically even TT pistols are 7.62, but since you said MGs, its fair game.

37mm HE has less explosive filler than a hand grenade - you pretty much have to hit within 0.5m to get any splash damage on a soldier - “near” is almost certainly not near enough.

The HE shells explode in a cone outwards, so try hitting behind, below, or above the enemies. The MGs have about the same damage as SMGs so you have to hit them multiple times. Instead of using the Stuarts, use the M13, it has better anti-infantry abilities, and can pen most Japanese tanks from the side.

?? Are you sure about that?

When using HE of any calibre pick a body in the middle of the pack and aim for direct hit for maximum splash/result. Even 37mm

Yeah that’s the only way you’ll get multiple kills, or occasionally if a group is standing up against a wall or a rockface and you hit that vertical surface.

When the infantry version of the same MG has a higher damage than the tank version alongside a faster reload too.

It would be nice if there was consistent damage/reload speed/overheat on all mgs of the same type.

Tank MGs do like 8 damage per bullet at best

Is stupid, they should do same damage as their infantry counterparts
