Its pretty good, some animations and models are not done yet and look wonky but gameplay is great, there is even Polish Army in few scenarios in Anzio campaign.

Also, bipods work there.

Pay no attention, he sound like a petulant child that was raised by an xbox instead of real parents.

mostly no, it isn’t “historically accurate” with any of those.

Bad english my bad

There’s a bit of nuance with weapons that lean more on the plausible side. We just don’t want time traveling equipment.

And again, most of the arguments regarding historical accuracy due to the news of the update has nothing to do with gameplay at all. So all the points he listed has nothing to do with the complaints being made. We just want to be able to ensure that the maps guarantee the type of equipment/customization used. A map in Moscow means equipment and uniforms during the timespan in Moscow, just like each other campaign.

Most people against historical accuracy are just making shit up that no one has pointed out when talking about the update, in a malicious attempt to try to discredit opinions.

The only thing I would agree with is the explosion packs, however, I haven’t seen anyone but him bring it up since the announcement, and he’s using that to discredit criticism.

Theres custom games for that. And bit nitpicking here but moscow maps particularly is quite bad example since if you simply remove the name of the maps they could be anywhere in europe. Theres nothing that binds them to moscow.

I dont think anyone is exactly against the historical accuracy, we just never had it to start with.
Since we’re already at the point that theres equipment of wrong time in technically every campaign and pretty much always has been.

Which IMO is already enough of prove that there never was historical accuracy to begin with as historical accuracy is quite simple regarding equipment. It was there or it wasnt there.

Which again leads to next point, in these past 2-3 years ive had these “historical accuracy” conversations with various people, apparently in this exact game theres just as many “historical accuracy” opinions as there are people speaking of it.

So which exact historical accuracy view are we adding as separate matchmake ?
So you want the equipment of said timeline in moscow ?
Okay so instead of it being what it was in past PZ3J vs T-50, it would be even worse pz3J vs T-34.
Well that definitely sounds like fun, not.

Next one wants historical accuracy to extend we now have aka keep the time travellers we already have for balance purposes.
What differency does it make did the equipment time travel a year or 2 its still time traveller ?

AND at last, apparently one of the reasons to merge campaigns was the splitted playerbase.
How exactly is 2 separate matchmakes going to help this issue ?

I wonder why no one talks about 275th dik division defending 1945 berlin.

Haters will say it never existed.

I’m not fond of the Custom Games approach unless DF provides official permanent servers that would guarantee that people can go to servers with set rules that cannot be changed by the host.

Maybe it’s an issue with the fact that this side has co-opted the phrase “historical accuracy” but for the most part, we aren’t advocating for a mil-sim or complete historically accurate game. It is merely regarding weapon selection, uniforms, equipment and their presence on the setting. We simply do not want these items, past the end date of the battle, to occur during the battle.

We shouldn’t have to abandon a game we sunk money in because they now decide to change direction and abandon/break promises two years after collecting money from us.

They have to fit in the timeline, yes. That is all we want.

Someone pointed out that a Pz IV F1 with HEAT would be a good and accurate counter to the T-34. Not too mention, I believe, personally, the German Anti-Tank weapons are better than the Soviet ones.

We can simply have one queue per nation, have different loadouts created before hand in solder screen that correspond to campaign. Therefore the loadout is applied after the matchmaking, which wouldn’t increase the wait time, and would still allow for accurate matches.

If they work like in anyother game you by youself can host a game with what ever rules you have set.
Which I still think is the best option since theres such a variety of this “historical accuracy”

Which pretty much would make moscow for example rather 1 sided shitshow, with the current equipment.

No ones forcing anyone to abandon anything.

I think the F1 with better shell exists as premium. So I highly doubt it becomes a free option, no idea why perhaps DF’s experimenting that would people pay for premiums just to be able compete with opposite team.
If it was Im quite sure it backfired.

GRB39 indeed is by far better compared to what soviets have. But as the moscow in such setup as
“only what fits the timeline” would most likely intrest quite small playerbase I dont exactly see any reason why such should exist anywhere else except in customs.

So basicly, ppl that only wants certain campaign they put the corresponding equipment and are forced by the game to play there ?
Isnt this technically the same what we have now but just in different form ?

No, the game should allow for multiple loadouts to be created for the same squad/soldiers. They are all saved as for that squad, therefore once you load into the map, that specific squad layout is loaded in which fits the atmosphere for the battle. For example a Rifleman I squad could allow for multiple setups. Setup #1 is for the Mosin M91/30 and Setup #2 is the Mosin M44. Setup #1 would be applied if the player gets to load into Moscow or Stalingrad. Setup #2 will be if they load into Berlin. The player might have a third setup to separate Moscow and Stalingrad, choosing different explosives, gear, etc. based on what they think would be more useful in that setting.

Okay, so are these locked in someway ? Aka cant make all loadouts with FG42 to make sure I get campaign maps I like ? Or play with certain equipment I prever the most.

If not, whats stopping people from leaving from moscow maps ? As the balance there even in current terms is quite onesided and would be by far worse with the “HA” addition.

Could argue that if not biggest then very least one of the biggest issues with moscow is the massive disparity with equipment.
Which the “un historical” matchmake does fix atleast partially. If theres KT2 then there must be IS2 as well.
If theres FG42’s then there must be equilevant counters to that as well.

Sure the “un historical” additions to germans on that specific campaign has given atleast a fighting chance they still are quite far apart in balance.

Ofc theres the ppl moaning how they can compete in moscow even with mp28. Sure everyone can, even with knifes as long as the matchmake bingo gives you enough bad opponent. Which the matchmake is supposed to fix as well, less of these 1 sided steamroll games which are rather boring regardless which side of the steam roll you are on.
