Highlight the squad necessary for weapon upgrading

Here is the problem:

Let’s say I want to upgrade my M1918A2 machine guns:

I click “Upgrade” on the weapon tab

The game takes me to the weapon’s upgrade tab

But which squad is this? Which squad do I need to put in my lineup to earn XP and upgrade the gun?

In order to find this out I need to scroll the full list of billion squads to the bottom, hoping I don’t miss the required squad which is only slightly highlighted.

Suggestion: instantly and clearly show the actual squad required to upgrade the weapon like this:

Or maybe we should just remove this system that forces us to play on these not upgraded, invalid squads? Instead, just unlink weapons from squads and make weapon upgrade points accumulate when a player fires it?

The bicycle was already invented by Battlefield series, indeed: get 100 kils with weapon A => unlock upgrade X, get 200 more kills => unlock upgrade Y.

This squad is level 1, it will take me ages to get an engineer, build a decent squad and one day upgrade BAR M1918A2 to 3 stars.
