Hey Darkflow, I have a question about in-game soldier models

Do you guys (talking to devs) plan on making a point of view of the soldiers look like they are running around with equipment, etc.? I don’t know about other players, but my MG soldiers don’t look or feel like they are running with an MG. It feels like you guys just slowed down the run speed and didn’t add anything else. The running doesn’t seem natural.

I hope you guys can fix this and make the soldiers running at least a little more realistic (if you have the funds to do so, I am not sure how complicated or what is needed to fix it).

Also, add in crouch running; I think that would be pretty cool and add a unique aspect to the troop movement and give more overall control to the player.

Spitting truth right there.

I know I´m comparing a AAA studio+ a massive budget with whatever DF is with a budget that´s pennies on the dollar but come on these animations from 7 years ago look so much more natural and dynamic than the “stick up ass” style we currently have. I assume some of the reason is that the player camera is actually on the models and the model itself is rendered the same in 1P aswell as 3P or something like that (not a game dev).

Also voice acting is much better and not as cartoonish like what we have. WT got new crew lines but I guess we´re not that far yet. Man I would be playing BF right now if they actually still made good ones.

The videos I posted (Red Orchestra 2) were released 3 years before that as well lol. It is crazy to me how RO2 wasn’t mainstream.
