In November 1944, the conversion of armored vehicles into flamethrowers was ordered to support the planned offensives in the West. How the Ardennes Offensive,100-150 units were initially planned, but due to Allied bombing, material shortages, and logistical chaos, only 20 units were completed.The 20 units were assigned and organized into two companies, the 352nd Panzer-Flamm-Kompanie and the 353rd Panzer-Flamm-Kompanie, attached to Army Group G Where they watched Combat in the Ardennes Offensive, Operation Nordwind, and Spring Awakening at Lake Balaton against the Soviets

•Casemate armor: 60mm at the front at 60°,20mm of side armor at 30-40°AND 8-20mm of armor 70°
•Chassis armor: 60mm at the front at 40°,20mm on the sides at 15° And 20mm of rear armor at 15°
Main Armament: A 14mm Koebe Flammenwerfer Flamethrower
Secondary Armament: One MG34/42 with 1200 rounds in 150-round belts

Flame thrower hetzer won’t happen because Snailflow hates burny bois.
I think the Axis powers, with their tripartite division of power, had such poor firearms. They really should have added a flamethrower version of the Heather tank destroyer. That way, the German army would have had a decisive weapon against Allied infantry in the Battle of the Bulge.
Neither hetzer nor pz3 flame tank would be better than pz1 flame tank. Extra frontal protection on hetzer is meaningless if you are not using it as td. If you want more, beware that kv8 and churchill crocodile will be added to the game and Germany doesn’t have a comparable counterpart and its BR3 will be completely unplayable and dead.
The idea is to add them as New Content for the game and provide more vehicle options, fun, and not to be the counterpart to the X Flamethrower Tank Simply put, if these vehicles are implemented, they will be used by people who like vehicles.

Sadly, this is not how DF handles update. You add one thing, there will be counterpart. Su9 is the best example possible. If you hope to break the game balance further, I have no objection. In fact, I haven’t touched German BR3 for at least five months now, so I don’t actually care anymore. If you want to pile German BR3 with more worthless pieces to deny actual meaningful addition, it can only mean better event farming experience for me and better fancy tools for other camps.

Even at BR 3, this little flamethrower vehicle is still overpowered. These days, every squad can usually get a Panzerfaust shot off at a tank without losing their engineer. This thing inherits the Flamingo’s high mobility perfectly. Except for those unbreakable walls in Stalingrad, it can charge right through and incinerate a whole group of enemies before they even react.
I actually saw this flame-throwing tank in the Great Formula mod . Honestly, I think both the base model and this flamethrower variant deserve to be added to the game.

I think Germany’s BR 3 lineup is already way too repetitive with just a bunch of Panzer IVs.
They don’t really perform well against KVs either.
Adding this tank would make Germany’s BR 3 more varied.
Then the StuG III F would also have a reason to move down.
Well, if anyone gets hurt by this, it’s probably the StuG III G—it might not sell anymore, haha.
At least, apart from getting picked off by planes from above, nothing can handle its front armor—maybe except the SU-85/A.
How would it benefit German BR3 other than as a little gimmick that is even less effective than pz1 flame tank? If the suggestion is the actual hetzer, it would actually improve the lineup by a lot. Hetzer simply can’t utilize the benefit of its frontal armour because it is a td, unlike kv8 and chuchil crocodile. Even pz3 flame tank would fulfill the role much better. Again, the suggestion is about flame tank not td, so it has nothing to do with kv1 and sherman either. Like I said, it is just a bad vehicle. Would you be happy if the devs prioritize t3485 with stabilizer and premium is21944 over is100 and t44100? ta152 over fw190f8? ki40 over b7a2?
