Arguably BR I facing BR II (on account of BR I technically not having Assaulter squads and you can’t use MG’s there) and BR IV facing BR V (SF rifle spam) need it the most. BR I should face BR I and BR V should face BR V.
Sometimes I wanna whip out the good old Sten and P14’s but then I get mowed down by MG13’s. Let’s not even talk about the fact that you can build HMG nests on BR I. LOL
Nor do I wanna be in a team on BR III with someone who just equipped one BR II weapon.
I mean BR locking is one solution. Hard to say what impact we’d achieve with it, given we’re already working with a limited player base so limiting BRs could lead to some being completely abandoned.
Another solution could be restriction or rework of squads, reducing specialists such as SMGs and MGs, while also disallowing their respective squad cycling. Such a change could not only help the BR difference since certain blatantly strong weapons would not be as common as they are, but it could allow for other weapons to shine and could change the gameplay for the better. But I understand that would be an unfavourable solution since the preferred playstyle of many people here is mag dumping whilst hip firing.
Either one is fine by me. I play bolties only so I’d just have to either switch to BR I in case BR II became dead due to the BR lock, or I’d not be impacted at all if there were less MGs/SMGs in my squads.
No need to nerf, just reduce in numbers. Especially low BR suffers from veterans squad cycling 3 SMGs consecutively into newbies with bolts. What can one learn from getting stomped by SMG spammers? Most will come to the conclusion to “get your own SMG”, instead of thinking of tactics/strategies/positioning to counter this issue, so newbies never grow, they just pick up the SMGs and that is it. No growth, not even in gun handling/aiming since SMGs require very little to be decently effective and then people question how some players at higher BRs are so useless, gee I wonder.
BR IV for the Allies and Japan is technically already abandoned, you usually get uptiers.
Also, we just had an update, we’re having an event and I still sat 2 minutes and 14 seconds in queue the other day, so…it is what it is, but the current BR system is flawed. They could - like how they did with the maps when they opened all up for all BR’s - run a week long test of AT LEAST locking BR I and BR V to see how things go.
Can’t say, GE is faster than ever, also loses more often than ever.
A trial run could be a good test.
Funny nobody touches up on the solution to just nerf META abused by vets against newbies, almost as if most are keen on using it and don’t actually give a crap about them. Since with BRs locked, what is stopping vets from just cycling BR I SMGs. They might not be great, but still are more than enough to beat up BR I bolt newbies.
Because most of the objective in this game are in close quarters, you’re not clearing them with bolt-action rifles, especially when your teammates don’t even go close to the points. It’s the sad reality. There are some more open maps or open points, but since you can’t choose which map you’d like to play on and if you’re someone like me who has limited squad space, you’ll need one SMG squad at least.
But, sure, they could limit your SMG squads, but they won’t because then many players would leave or not play. XD
You can use bolt inside a CP and in CQB, it just takes effort and you certainly do not require SMG squad to clear it, just good aim, movement and hearing. Oh wait, I can see the problem … it might have something to do with people taking the easy way.
And secondly, most CPs are in close quarters, however players have the ability to prevent the enemy from reaching them, often at a medium to long range, just shoot them as they approach, except that is quite difficult to do effectively with a guns like SMGs.
So this SMG necessity is not really there if one has the option to prevent it in the first place. Maybe only the attackers would have a reason since they have to clear rooms, but if you shoot the defenders as you approach, then you might find that there isn’t many enemies left inside when you arrive there.
Yep, well we’re stuck with that. Perhaps it would be deserved though, those players piss on the newbies, could be fun having them be reprimanded for it. But BR lock is the best we can hope for, I guess.
Sure, but that sort of screws over everyone. I like to run more squads of one type when events have tasks like: Kill X amount of enemies with Machine Guns, etc.
It’s long past time for the players to have the 0/0 matchmaking
we’ve been asking for now for years. We ask, we ask again, and
we keep asking, but the lack of response always seems to be the
same. Gaijin be like…
