ive played a good amount of japan over the years
IMO they play best when used as like a denial sorta faction
BR2-3 are what ive found the most success with but really it comes down to how you play the game
i’d say nothing they have is like the worst or whatever, but their strongest areas i’ve found are their AT, Tank Destroyer, HE slinger, rifle and fighters
play around with everything they have, they have a lot of tricks up they sleeve
Get good usually helps? J/k Japan is tough until you hit BR5 but once you get there its a lot easier. I play 5 constantly if you need help you an join our squad when we play. It is usually a win so that will help your grind.

Grind your flamers and mortars. Flamers are like a infantry squad but better. Japans BR5 infantry weapon is the best in game.(I at least think so it is a lot more stable than everything else). Mortars are easy money if you are ATK because Japan has some terrible open area maps for those things. You can get 1k+ 25-30 kills right off the bat if you grid your attack.
Do you play console only? May need to switch to cross-platform.
Higher player pool so you shouldn’t be outnumbered nearly as much.
a good medic squad is a must in Japan
As mentioned, BRII is the way to go.
Get a half-decent team around you, and Japan is unstoppable.
Type 100 is a beast…their katanas make them fast…low profile rallies make them easier to hide.
Planes are underwhelming at low BR but BR2-3 is a blast. Ho-I has the best HE for the tanks.
Run and shoot…Japan is fun to play.
If you have event squads it makes it fun…the Premium BR2 Paratroopers are good.
