Ive noticed that some soldier will have helmets equipped yet when you go ingame or in practice they randomly put on hats instead. Will Darkflow fix this?

Not a bug, this is “normal”.
Squad customization is broken, each of your soldiers have different base appearances in each campaign and many customization options are not available in all campaigns resulting in mixed up and strange looking cosmetics.
