Why do most helmets, which have extra armour, cost 1-2 Appearance Orders less then the touques, berets, caps and dress headgear which provide less protection? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

My question is why does EVERYTHING have to cost gold? I have a bajazillion appearance change orders, but unless I’m missing something, there are no non-gold “appearances” that I can change to.
Go into the appearance section, then pick headgear, top or bottom and there is a cost in gold or how many appearance orders…just use the orders.

It’s one OR the other? I thought it was like…pay gold to unlock this item, and then 1 order per use, kind of thing. I can just use orders to swap? Feeeehhhck, ok. They are way overpriced in gold then, since appearance orders are plentiful.

Say this after equipping up to 11 but more so around 6 slots of br 3 and 5 setups for the 3 major nations with customization for each campaign.
Yeah, i get the point, but I’m more worried about unlocking/maxing out everything and having nothing left to grind for than i am with never getting every squad customized for every theater, etc. Not even sure i care about playing BRV, it seems like kind of a shit-show where if it’s not treated like your 2nd job you’ll never win a match. Tbf I’ve only unlocked most of BR2 for all nations, but kind of prefer the vibe of BR1 with the bolties and more sort of…“heroic” moments. I played a bunch of American BR2 during the last event because i needed semi-auto kills and i had the most overall BR2 equipment with USA, and it wasn’t too bad despite me being overall under-equipped (like 1/4 or less BR2 equipment), but i suspect a bunch of other players had crept into BR2 for the same reason, so probably not a good sample.
The appreance pricing makes no sense. M1 helmet with ammo clip and net costs 2 orders while the same helmet without any crap costs somehow 3. Default grey stahlhelm costs 3 while other nations default helmets are only 2. White painted stahlhelm is the only german helmet that costs 2 for some reason.
Uniform prices should be standardized and the prices should be lower. It would look something like this:
Helmet: 2 order
Hat: 1 order
Torso: 4 order
Legs: 1 order

It doesn’t matter. Thanks to huge damage multiplier, you’ll get OHK to head with pretty much anything either way
The only exception is helmet with special protection that German assault engineers are equipped with.
