probably spawned at a rally and still had spawn protection. Regardless of how close the rally point is to the fighting you still have temporary invulnerability. @73507743 has suggested changing this in the past.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure at first but rally points shouldn’t give spawn protection. I had two situations in past few days where I located enemy rally point and when I was cooking granades to destroy it - full squads with spawn protection popped out and destroyed me.
No protection should encourage better hiding of rally points when building them. And eliminate such frustrating situations.
