I only got a general idea recently from analysis videos by some content creators. It was shocking to watch. Turns out Gaijin has some really serious problems across the board.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I think this issue matters to every single player.
These are labor disputes. Ordinary players are not mediators for labor disputes, so please do not participate in or spread such matters, or you may get your account banned. I have already warned you before, don’t meddle in other people’s business.
The data stuff was new to me, the whole “personal” conflict/ severe HR issues between the fox and HR/ management I think was mentioned back in KFs post-employment post.
I sent the below on reddit. Sorry I think this is totally unnecessary and over hyped for some strange motive.
I have tried to read the replies to get a better opinion.
Keo you were great at the outset. I’m not sure how jobs go, but if you take it on yourself, you agree to the salary and treatment. As for security vulnerability, well most companies do have their loop holes, they must have an IT Sec team in Gaijin, what you call a major weakness may be a lower grade risk.
I also do remember you before you left would respond on ‘Feedback about latest update’ in a very abrupt manner sometimes, maybe you were already disgruntled and it was beginning to show.
No company fires people for highlighting vulnerabilities, unless you didn’t follow proper processes and complained to the wrong people.
I wish you all the best of luck. It might have been a toxic environment, I have worked in those myself before, but not for long, why would I tolerate it? Why would you???
You and James are both most certainly people that I looked forward to seeing your responses to player queries and feedback, including mine. I hope you all are in better paid roles with work life balance, you deserve it.
But real reason for dismissal is questionable sorry. You taking it as a third party against a company like Gaijin is a lost cause, save your time and money is my suggestion
The salary part is correct, but treatment is questionable, it basically shift blame to the victim while removing any sort of accountability from DF/ Gajin.
Is that why we had quite a bunch of data breaches and hacking attacks just in 2025?
“Lower-grade security” I guess, especially since we as consumers were not even informed about this breach despite this being law, at least in the EU (GDPR).
How can you get fired for complaining to the wrong person(s)?
Give up, life sucks, sucker.
Nihilism isnt entirely wrong.
Looking at the current state of the game and the pace of updates, I think what FOX said is very likely true.
His first big reveal was that staff who had already left still retained the ability to access player data through the backend. That level of disorganization isn’t a mistake just any company would make. On top of that, he mentioned the company’s unfair treatment of Chinese players and discrimination against Russian employees — over the past few years, there have been plenty of signs pointing to that.
As a long-term employee, FOX was forced to resign over issues with a company-appointed psychologist, which already felt like someone was plotting against him. Now it all seems to make sense, like the truth is finally coming out.
Whether it’s the 7-yuan incident during the day or whatever else, I’m also curious about how this will unfold. It feels like there’s still more to be revealed.
Honestly, the way FOX says Russian employees are treated reminds me of labor dispatch in China—getting paid peanuts as temps while doing the same backbreaking work as full-time staff.
At the end of the day, if Russians were really good at managing the economy, the country wouldn’t have collapsed.
Gaijin has been slashing revenues for years, and in the end, it all fell on its own employees.
Maybe it all started when they moved to Hungary in the first place.
One hilarious thing, though: the algorithm for pushing positive reviews only favors non-Chinese players. So what are Chinese players supposed to do? Just leave negative reviews?
FOX claims Alexander Tolkach, the Community Manager, recommended a psychiatrist to him. Tolkach then used the medical records from that psychiatrist to claim FOX was unfit for his job and should be fired. According to FOX, Anton eventually stepped in and made him sign a resignation agreement with a severance package. Man, this is just like watching political drama—bad money driving out good.
There was a time when FOX was the kind of person who’d argue that not giving players free repair tools and flamethrowers was like giving them free Abrams tanks.
Now, in 2026, FOX has dropped another bombshell on us. We’ll just have to wait and see. If all this is true, or if these practices can be reined in, maybe future game updates will actually get better.
My Information possibly getting leaked is definitely my business.
These clog reports they say can be accessed… quite irritated i sent one simply for a UI bug… so does any previous employee have various spec information about my computer now? What else?
If the core members of the former enlisted development team need monetary compensation, they should pursue legal procedures through lawyers and the courts. One-sided complaints won’t change anything, because the game company is the major shareholder and has the right to change anything. Unless the former enlisted developers start their own game studio, being a contract worker is quite normal; after all, game companies hire employees, not government employees. As someone involved in the contract worker system, I empathize with their experience, but all issues can only be resolved through legal procedures. One-sided complaints and tears are useless.
There is a lot we could discuss about the matter, but I would like to remind everyone that Gaijin has total and absolute control over the forum thus we should abstain from getting too seriously involved here and express our concerns over reddit or other less moderator platforms.
You ignore aspects like the data protection issues, which was a major point of Keo’s post. This has nothing to do with contract or HR issues or stuff like sharing senstive employee information within the company, which also has nothing to do with contracts.
But overall nice anecdote I guess.
Pff Yeah Sure.
Already starts with the fact that you need to be able to afford to stage a legal battle.
Okay, okay, stop complaining. Wait until your computer gets hacked by the Enlisted development team and all your squad’s gear is wiped out before you start complaining. The personal information you’re talking about is a minor issue. The real problem is that the former core developers of Enlisted need financial compensation from the game company; that’s the crux of the matter.
To me, this is a consequence of game companies not providing enough financial compensation to former employees. If game companies don’t value protecting player data, they shouldn’t even be in the game industry—that’s common sense, right? An insecure data environment will destroy a game company’s revenue; do you think they would just sit idly by? Therefore, it’s impossible.
That’s really dangerous. I’ll keep watching anyway. I hope more people find out about this. It can also be something fun to follow like a snack while watching. If it ends up fixing something, it might actually be good for the whole game. After all, bugs and issues like these have been around for a long time.
What now?
Is it a non-existenc leverage or a minor issue?
And you still dont check that it is illegal for DF to not inform consumers about data security concerns. Get lost with your leverage and come with something new.
You are either coping or so naive that it is unbelievable.
Either way, if companies would be trustworthy, we wouldnt have so many regulations and administrations that monitor their activities. Just try to search DF btw., there is no imprint for the company for years now saved for an inactive Facebook page and word press.
Yes since their workplace culture seems to be terrible and about cutting corner, why should data security be spared, especially since everything is linked to Gajin?
Last year, Enlisted’s severs got essentially hacked and people lost their stats (and thinking about it, who knows whatelse they might have done or got) and DF was unable to fix the issue for several weeks (I think WT wasnt spared either), but I guess this is the sign of high-level data security and priority.
Dunno man, Microsoft is able to operate despite Outlook and OneShare being hacked like every quartal. Ubisoft too got hacked several times.
But trust the game, bro.
You know what they say: the world is just a huge makeshift operation. And DF, or Gaijin as a whole, is no different—especially being a Russian company, that doesn’t surprise me at all.
What’s weird, though, is that even after the Russia-Ukraine war, games like World of Tanks faced massive boycotts over their origins.
But if the company treats its longest-serving, most hardworking veterans differently just because of their nationality… I have to say that’s just unethical. Is this like racial discrimination?
