2nd edit, still here in 0.1.15.21.
This is my more detailed description:
This bug only occur when you are aiming. If you do not aim, then no this “ice sliding” movement.
See this video, notice the sliding situation when I am aiming at my foot. If not aiming, the movement seems not bugged. https://streamable.com/vhdztb
I am playing my first online match after the big update. Then I feels the extreme uncomfort about the moving things.
Changed character acceleration and deceleration model. Now movement feels more natural.
Nope, you just give the actor too much inertia. Or like moving on icy surface.
Now, in high speed running, it’s a bit better than before!
BUT! In low speed movement, the inertia or the deceleration takes too long to a stand still.
Like even I’m crouching left and right, it still takes a NOTICEABLE 0.7~1s then the character finally stops.
The most making me feel sick part is: when aiming, and moving left and right, you will feel the great strange feeling of a laggy control of movement!
Now it’s almost completely uncomfortable to aim and shoot now!
WTF this is a FPS game.
I don´t really mind inertia at all (more than that I was looking forward to it), what I do have problem with however, is now the insanely slow run speed is. That makes even a sniper as slow as AT sniper loaded with grenades, axe and secondary weapons before the patch.
Yes, is this stuff. I thought what you mentioned “ice” is that you completely wont able to stop, or something pushing you. Like some weird things I experienced but long time ago.
The problem is still here. (0.1.15.21)

i’m happy that they made character a bit faster and stamina runs low slower ( unless you are carrying the impossible on your character )
before, it was a nightmare for flamentroopers to get on the point in time without wasting 3 times the stamina bar and taking a few naps in the meanwhile ( or getting killed )
speaking of the suggestion, i honestly don’t get it.
i mean, this could have been applied to bots.
but now they actually turn, change position, walk and run when needed.
