I remember there used to be an option called “harmonized nicknames”, not to be confused with “harmonization mode”. This would change all player names into random names, I believe it pulled from the same pool as bot names. This setting no longer exists in the options menu.
Now there’s several similar sounding options but I don’t know if any of them work the same way. I searched the update notes but there’s really no mention of when this change happened.
Incognito mode is mentioned in the Scorching Rays update.

Added an “Incognito” option to the Contacts menu. Now you can hide your online status from your friends and avoid receiving pop-up notifications. This feature will not work on a Xbox.
Ok, that doesn’t appear to be it.
There’s also a “hide personal nickname” option which sounds like it would do the same thing as incognito mode, this one I can’t find mentioned anywhere in official documentation. A google search for Enlisted “hide personal nickname” returns a 30 second youtube video of someone showing where the setting is and how to turn it on without any description of what the setting does and a single reddit thread where people report that it randomizes their own nickname, I have had it turned on for a while and my true nickname has always been visible, it never got changed in the scoreboard or kill feed.
So if I want to enable harmonized nicknames now, is that still possible? During my search I found some people suggest turning on harmonization mode but this replaces national flags and symbols which I’m not looking to do and it’s not clear if it even alters nicknames.
