Grinding

So What is the best way to grind the academy, weapons and the vehicles…?

Well, according to the proposed monetization systems, it is better to just get a job, earn the money, and then but what you want.

Im looking at all the diferent squads , troops and all … Im lvl 8 and cant get a pistol … Im at the mercy of logistics i guess

There’s no real way of grinding, just play the game…

Premium squads seem to earn campaign exp and by extension logistics tokens faster.

Otherwise what I do is prioritize unlocking the squad exp boosts, followed by the class exp boosts under squad progression.

Premium squads has 2x campaign Xp
BTW, it seems that blue/red tech tree’s +**% Xp dosent give you more campaign Xp

I knew that, but leveling up soldiers faster means they go to the academy faster.

Ohhh, the academy…
The only place they dont place gold coin “ADs”. It’s a so annoying place that force you to grind.

Thanks for the replies , im learnig more … So once your squad is max , send to the acadamy …

well, from an experienced player my self ( weird flex, but ok ),
i can suggest you to not worry too much about it at the moment, as your progress will be wiped out, and now it’s more for the testing rather than the grinding. so i highly suggest you to right now, play for fun, and give a look at all nations if possible. in order to make an idea of the game style and pick one faction for the open beta.

but answering to your main topic, there’s quite a lot to talk about. and this is my personal way to grind. hope those tips and knowledge might help you as well.
saying this, i’ll start with;

General Squads Advices:

as you will probably know, you will start with 3 squads, the Rifle man, the sniper squad, and the assaulter one. i suggest to start and upgrade those ( for the next point )
and after you unlocked a bounch of squads, and maxed out the rifle man, sniper and smg, i suggest you to replace the sniper squad with one of those unlocked squads
i mean, you can ditch the sniper squad for the enginners one. probably more usefull. but if you like snipers, finish that one first and than switch with the newer one.

another tip that i reccomend is, the recycle move.

recycling in this game it’s essential as it saves times, and potentially, saves alot of things.
when you are unlocking newer squads, swap them, strip them of their equipment, and swap to the squad that you were using before, so that you can use those equipment from your newers guys to increase the olders soldiers equipment inventory for almost free.

another important factor when it cames to newer unlocked squads, is to not waste soldiers and basically grind being almost forced to start from 0. when a new squads that you unlocked appears, once you are done with one squad that is completed, replace that squad with 4 troopers of 1 star, and those veterans soldiers that you had in the squad, you will assign them to the newer squad. so that you recycled a bounch of soldiers with already present veterancy and equipment in the newer one. much handlier to get more experience insthead of grind those soldiers and having others assets in the rear taking dust.

next thing to discuss about it, it’s the

Tech Trees:

an universal “tip” is that,
i would highly reccomend to you,
is fully grind the yellow tech tree, half the red one, and as optional (if you love the squad) the blue one.

the reason beind, it’s quite simple.

  • Yellow Tech Tree:
the yellow tech three it’s the one for weapons, helping you to obtain more gears when scrapping weapons, allows you to unlock the ability to upgrade your soldiers weapons, and lastly, a discount for first upgrades.

  • Red Tech Tree:
the red tech three it’s the one for the soldiers class veterancy and increasing character/solder Weapon Slots. but as said before, only at half.
    because:
speaking for the soldiers and accademy, i suggest you to only keep soldiers ot 3 stars, and keep sending to the accademy soldiers made by 1 and 2 stars as the majority of time, through the cards/order you will alot of those. so that you will have a “basic ground” of 3 star soldier for squad game mode and above all, 3 star soldiers are " cheaper " to make and somewhat effective.
weather it is truee that people might argue suggesting you to make soldiers at 5 and 4 stars are somewhat better, but doing those, they are quite expencive as those soldiers make you run low of man power and time ( entire hours of real life just to make a singular soldier). so that’s why i suggest you to keep soldiers with 3 filled stars as those are cheaper, faster and they still get the job done in almost no time.
because i have to remind you that soldiers that has filled stars are more effective than soldiers without them ( even if those soldiers have have 5 unfilled stars ).

  • Blue Tech tree
and lasty, the blue tech tree. this one, unless it’s the rifle man squad, and/or the squad that you like using the most, it’s a bit pointless filling this one. weather it’s truee that more elements in the squads allow you to play more, most of those said elements will most likely die and increasing the number of your reserve it’s pointless. why am i saying this? i figured out, that the rng system works that tries to gives you the most classes that you have less, which it’s a good thing. but for the pilot and tankers, increasing reserve numbers will just make the game filling you with more pilots and tankers of level 1. and for the others classes, you will never use so many ( for example ) assaulters, or machinegunners ( as the max number of active machine gunners can be 6 in various squads.

now that i have spoken about technical tech trees, it’s time to speak for the campaign levels.

it’s time for:

Lootboxes & Orders

i’m not gonna spend too much on the order of troopers as those are quite randomic.

while there’s alot to say about the weapons order,

don’t waste weapons orders into lootboxes outside the first one.
because those with picture of certain weapons are unrelayable, while with the first lootboxes most of the time, you get weapons and equipment for your soldier as well. ( without wasting 2 or more cards )

once that you think that you managed to fill all the squads with equipment, than starts to open the others crates. for experience ( or i just might have been lucky ) the frst crate is quite universal. and you ger more chance of getting equipment. insthead of taking a fat L obtaining several rifles insthead of what you wanted losing 2 cards in the process.

and lasty of this list;

General Tips

this section is a bit randominc and included the others that i didn’t know where to fit.
so, let’s continue.

Tank & Pilots Personell

send to the rear and don’t eve waste time on tankers and pilots. ( in terms of veterancy ).
like, unless you are using a bomber that requires more pilots, and tankers that requires more tankers, don’t bother. and wait. like, send to the rear every 1 star driver/pilots. just a waste of time. insthead, and as said before, if their reserve is low, you will have the chance to get more quickly high level soldiers to replace those low ones.

Weapons Tips:

to be honest, you included this section in the title, but i personally don’t think there’s quite to say about it. like, having fun it should be a priority. so, use the weapons that you like for the most. and keep the others that you don’t like too much to the higher stars soldiers, so that the AI will manage to use them properly.

Squad Mode & Lone Wolf

for how much people might hate lone wolf, it’s one of the best grind-friendly. like, there is a booster for soldiers veterancy and double soldier experience. meaning that grinding soldiers in this game mode it’s easier and faster compared to the squad mode.

but, on the other hand, squad mode is better to increase squad points & campaign levels.

Loadouts

when speaking of loadouts keep in mind that there is a weigh system present in the game. meaning that the more weapons you will carry, the slower your soldier will be. so a friendly tip that i suggest you, is to avoid weapon carrier soldiers with like, 4 grenades, 2 rifles, 2 medkits, and 1 pistol and an axe.

that guy is probably gonna beg you to end his misery. jokes aside, if you have soldiers like that, they are not gonna move at all. and the biggest issue, is that they will drain the stamina much faster.

this factor can be noticed less on almost every classes exept on those two classes, Anti tank soldier, and flame trooper.
so keep in mind that more equipment those guys will have, the slower they will move.

so if possible, i might suggest to keep those loadouts effective as possible, and not putting too much gear on them. otherwise, once they die, you will most likely wont be able to use his ammonution and others weapons.

Tanks & Planes

i can’t say much about tanks and planes. the only suggestion that i have for the first, is that try to play from distance. and do not get over runned by enemy soldiers. unless you like explosives gifts.
generally, try to avoid urban enivorement. tanks do not perform well in clustered positions.
try to support your infantry, and try to get supported by them.
( do not rush, and aim for enemy weakspots )

weather for planes,
well. planes goes boom.
jokes aside, if you are using fighters, try to stay at low attitude but if you are using a bomber, stay higer as you can. so that the AA will not be able to track you properly with the arcade targeting aim system. and the reason for high attitude, is that since you don’t have bomber sight on planes, i reccomend to dive bomb even if not using a stuka. it’s effective, and easier to pull up if your plane is a flying wheelbarrow on wings.

so yeah, that’s it i guess.
if you have further question, do not esistate to ask.

cheers

EDIT. or yeah,

sell your dog, close(distant) relatives, lunges or whatever you might don’t need and pay to skip.

Every soldier carrying pistols in WWII wasn’t that common.

Hell it’s not that common to this day. When I was in our combat medics had pistols and our lieutenants, platoon daddies. Vast majority of people did not get a pistol and still don’t.

Keeping pistols rare or at least time consuming to acquire is something I don’t have a problem with.

This was so prolific in both WWII there’s many many accounts of soldiers buying or using personal handguns. One of the most famous is probably the depiction of the soldier in Easy company 501st PIR using his dad’s old revolver.

From what I’ve seen, other countries were the same too. Japan had a strict “buy your own pistol” policy, and while Japanese pistols were encouraged, German and American pistols were allegedly more common among Japanese officers.

That helped me get my head sorted out on how to proceed… Thank you for that info … Very helpful

this is not actually truee.

well, it is, but at the same time, is not. it really depends which faction we are talking to.

because for the german side, anti tank soldiers, flametrooper, officers, medics and snipers had acess to pistols. which in this game, are exactly the classes that needs pistols more.

i do agree with you that weapons limits on certain classes should be applied for realistic aspects.
as it’s weird watching anti tank gunners with at rifles, pistols, and rifles on the back.

but it’s not normal that the only pistols that i got, are the ones from pilots and tankers.

glad to help.

as i said, if you have further questions, just ask ^^

Yeah that much is definitely true now that you mention it.
Germans liked keeping stocked pistols as PDWs as the equivalent to the M1 Carbine in some roles.

Maybe it can make room for assymetrical balance eventually

Ww2 maybe devs could alow us to train for diff weapons with respect to the rank and class… Just a thought… Ty for the replies n info…
