they only “dominated” the match due to one team just not understanding that there is a tank looking that way
already suggested
but at the end off that you would just be makign tanks weaker by taking away the “grey zone camping” and not giving anyhting in reture, tanks by nature are not intended to be use in any form of CQC so by forcing them to go to CQC is just going to make less people use tanks, and tanks would be less tank and more meme
Just like how a sweaty skilless with a fg42 or mg42 can play waste to whole squads, or how sweaty skilless can wipe out entire teams with a mortar or how about suicide bombers clearing entire objectives? Tanks only get so many kills due to how hard they are to kill, it’s a tank, it’s mainly a fire support platform, not a brawler
They are NOT hard to kill unless in the grey zone. I’d like to see the grey zone remain, but tanks guns can’t fire from that zone. They could only fire once they emerge from the grey zone. The mini map is all they need to know where they are. This might force them to use natural cover, such as depressions in the ground, to stay safer. I see no reason why a tanker’s “lifespan” during combat should be any different than any other squad. I’d be fine with the enemy having more tanks in battle if the grey zone was modified.
Tanks should be a threat, sure, and they should be difficult to kill, but one of the weaknesses of tanks on the battlefield has always been a swarm of enemy infantry. Infantry had the tools to deal with armor, especially if that armor didn’t have it’s own infantry support.
A greyzoned tank isn’t threatened by shit that isn’t another tank (and not even then a lot of the time) or planes, and hunting tanks from the air is a high-skill, high-effort, low-reward activity.
Personally, I just hate the idea of the greyzone all together, but I don’t know what they’d do to stop spawn camping without it.
Yes but given how abundant the dec pac is ingame the moment the other team knows your in a tank some one will go out of his way to throw a dec pac at you no matter where you are just like a t800 terminator
kkkk, yes, it’s very rewarding, but it’s also very annoying, because you lose some soldiers/squads to get to that tank (enemies are born near it), and if you try to compete with another tank, you’ll end up dying to TNT, because you will be advanced (almost close to the capture point)
So stay mobile. It’s hard to guarantee a detpack kill against a moving tank, hell if you don’t cook em’ it’s hard to guarantee a detpack kill on a stationary tank if they’re paying even a little attention.
I mean, that’s fair, but there’s a reason magnetic and adhesive AT grenades exist, and even IRL once the battle’s going a stationary tank is eventually a dead tank. I think it sucks that we don’t have AT 'nades, and that the detpack does what it does as well as it does, but until we get some better, more realistic infantry AT choices, we can’t really reduce the effectiveness of detpacks.
