Currently tnt/det packs are the obvious choice because they are good for both Tanks and INF.
We need a way to better differentiate between these 2 items. My suggestion is to keep TNT good against Armor but decrease it’s effectiveness against INF.
Also increase the grenades effectiveness against INF so that we have a clear choice between these 2 items. The trade off should be armor vs INF so that players have to make a definite choice of which to carry if they only have one slot …
This will also have the side effect of making AT troops more useful
grenades aleady have multiple advatages-they are smaller(less visible, dot get stuck on ramdom BS so much) and have a shorter fuse( meaning you dont have to cook them)
Honestly, I’d rather see them add purpose-built AT grenades and make detpacks all but useless against armor. They’re good for destroying cover, what buildings can be damaged or destroyed, and for opening routes like through the sea wall on normandy. Still good against infantry, harder to use in that role, but with some utility, leaving frags for infantry and AT nades for armor. hell, might be a good reason to actually use grenade pouches.
Probably no pun intended, do you know where the term frags comes from?
Fragging is the deliberate killing or attempted killing by a soldier of a fellow soldier, usually a superior or non-commissioned officer(NCO). The word was coined by U.S. military personnel during the Vietnam War, when such killings were most often attempted with a fragmentation grenade
except from my experience det packs usually kill the crew directly, as opposed to destroying the tank and the crew going with it (unless i misread the multi-kill notification and it says the same thing when the crew dies bcause of ammo-racking). also it should logically kill exposed infantry up till at least 4 ft away
Nah, an explosive charge large enough to kill a tank from the outside honestly should shred nearby infantry, just on pressure, which is why I want AT grenades instead.
To fix detpacks, they should increase the arm time a little and nerf how far you can toss one. I routinely throw them 30 meters. What normal human can chuck 1.2Kg of “screw that area in particular” 30 meters?
