Well, so far tonight I have played two games. Game #1 I was booted because of network internet issues (even though I am averaging over 160 mbps). The second time was immediately after rebooting my computer and starting a new game. After a couple network disruption issues messages, followed by the screen turning red and completely freezing up, I bailed.
Fortunately, these were custom game matches so no penalty should be imposed. However, if this had been a general game, I would now have just incurred “TWO” back to back 20% penalties due to no fault of my own. I am really glad that Gaijin has imposed a system that can tell who’s been naughty and who’s been nice.
Since I have all my squads maxed out and all the tech tree’s research I care to do is done, the 20% means nothing to me. However, if I were a player still trying to grind my way up through the system, this would literally be at least the eighth time I have been deserted by no fault of my own since the Dev’s imposed the penalty and I would be pissed off. So, IMOP, the Dev’s need a penalty system that can tell if you quit or if the system booted you. However, since they can’t create a bot above a retarded three year old, I am not holding my breath.
I’m gonna try one more game, however the network has been complete shitsville so far so I am not expecting much.
That happened to me 2 years ago, the screen would freeze and the game would crash, after 1 whole year (YES A FUCKING WHOLE YEAR) waiting for a response from technical support they didn’t solve anything for me…
In the end, after 6 months, they released a statement saying “we have solved the problem.” And the problem continued for another 6 months.
The devs never fix anything, so don’t trust them.
After all, a year or more ago they said they released an update so that grenades would break windows and today they don’t break anything hahaha
I tried to play one additional game, and it was a freeze fest, so, essentially I played three and got three desertions. Only good thing is that they were custom solo matches, so other then not being able to play tonight, I didn’t get penalized. However, if I had tried to play in a normal match, I would have three 20% penalties for nothing.
Well, the only solution I saw for the freezes was to change the PC, so I wouldn’t know what exactly is causing these problems.
(And no, I didn’t change my PC for the game, I did it to update for others xD)
Which makes me think the game must have a compatibility issue with something, the problem is that the only ones who could figure it out are the developers and if they haven’t done this in 2 years they never will.
its pretty weird that youre getting network issues with such good internet because for me my internet isn’t as good as yours but I hardly et any network issues. maybe its the -Any Server- issue so try playing with the server region set to 1 server at a time. or youre pc is getting cooked on the ultra settings lol
Yeah, I am not sure why either, so I assume it is not my internet. There are times I loose internet here in the Philippines, but usually only for a short time and most likely when the internet company is updating or doing repairs. To be honest, my internet here has been pretty good. The problem I believe is with Gaijin’s servers. I have tried ANY servers, and individually chosen them separate. Most of the time I have no issues, but every so often they are garbage, like last night.
The vast majority of issues here in the Philippines are power outages, which occur at least once a week or so, and if your playing at that time (which I have been) then your booted from the game and thus, a deserter. I did buy an external power supply which is just a battery pack that goes between the modem and wall socket, which keeps the internet going if the power goes off, however it doesn’t power my computer or my monitor, so it’s not much help as far as gaming goes. It has enough power to keep my internet going a couple hours, although they advertise 6-8 hours.
Here is my on the spur of the moment speed test.
So, it ain’t my internet that is the problem.
