Gold chest - opportunity to add them as reward for event and BP completion

I remember how back in the olden days I used to complete every single event and most Battle Passes that I could because uppon completion, I would be rewarded with gold orders - which we used to buy gold weapons with - with a nice variety of weapons and vehicles to choose from.

Because gold orders got removed and since I am an axis main, I now only complete events that are specific to my faction, and I only buy BPs of weapons that I intend to use, which is also only every 4th BP - since BPs main rewards today are the 4 faction specific guns. Yes, vehicle skins are cool but I wish we would get full vehicles instead of just their skins, and BP soldiers are only there to boost squad leveling.

  • Now my suggestion:

Every Battlepass should have as its final reward a gold chest. This would make buying the BP much more interesting for all the other faction players since you still have a chance to get some nice cosmetics.

Same for big events that have very faction specific rewards.

I think such additional chance to get the new gold chests would defuse current tension with us - the players.

-Basically it would allow people that really love gambling “for what ever reason” to get a chance to hit their jackpot without needing to buy a squad they dont want to use,

-while boosting the value of battle passes,

-and giving very involved players a chance to obtain some customisations through lots of playtime by participating in events and BPs.

With the Gold Chests dropping… well, Gold, I think it would be unreasonable, unless they were “extremely ultra rare”. Like, once a year or something, or every two years. Gold is the Premium currency, and getting a lucky drop and forever more having access to the paid Battle Pass isn’t… well, it feels wrong.

Then again, some online service games do allow you the opportunity to earn enough Premium currency to potentially buy their Battle Pass (with varying degrees of qualifiers)… but that’s not usually through gambling, but rather grinding… lots and lots of grinding…

Even if the Gold was removed as a drop-chance, it still feels too generous… the box contains Premium squads, things people have paid a pretty penny for… it feels a little unfair that someone could get what someone had to pay for as an event drop…

Silver chets feel way more reasonable as event rewards (for example, during filler days where you’d otherwise get nothing), or as a recurring reward after completing the Battle Pass.
