It’s pretty common around that time.
I mean thats why the M16 rifles in Rising Storm 2 were underloaded to 17 rounds instead of 20 so
If this game even attempted to aim for “realism” I wouldnt mind.
But we got AVS rifles putting a modern assault-rifles to shame.
PPSh with million spare magazines.
Drums loaded to 71, regardless it was always max loaded ~67 both sides of border.
Probably even less during winters.
Id say this 20 rounds due to crappy springs is quite pisspoor excuse considering its bit picky realism.
How would it compare to the type hei auto?
yes, yes, yes and yes!
was requested by the community even days / week before the release but I was pretty sure that Gaijin won’t care to increase the mag. size ![]()
Less damage in exchange for more stability and much more reserve ammo. Thats how I would balance it
Did you ever checked your post
It literally said Type100 smg
“Model II - Caliber 6.5 (Special bullet) magazine capacity 30 rounds”
Did you check his post…?
I belive mag on Type100 and type1/2 isn’t universal
Type100 model II have this 30rnd mag is irrelevant with type 2
Things in game and out of game don’t always have the same names.
It’s also Japanese experimental firearms, I doubt there is such a thing as a set in stone name.
I hope this will be forwarded, 20 rounds is completely fictional and it’s very bad to only have 20 rounds in the magazine
I don’t know if it’s historical or not, but it needs a 30 round magazine for balancing purposes.
Weird, I thought the mag with bigger capacity for this weapon was already promised during test server.
Was that some kind of misinformation? Or was the implementation of it just postponed?
It is obvious that this refers to the Type 2 submachine guns we have in the game. Although using “Type” in the name of this weapon is not entirely correct—since “Type” implies formal adoption into service—they are sometimes referred to as “Model 2” for that reason. I am not sure if the Americans were aware of the Nambu Model 1.
But most likely, the Americans decided to designate the 8mm and 6.5mm versions of the second model as “Model 1” and “Model 2,” respectively. This is despite the fact that the “Model 2” (6.5mm caliber) was actually developed earlier.
But I prefer calling them the Nambu Model 2 Ko (6.5mm caliber) and Otsu (8mm caliber) submachine guns. And it is obvious that this refers specifically to the Nambu Model 2 submachine gun. The section is titled “Submachine Gun, Type 100” because it goes on to discuss the development and adoption of the Type 100.
A better option would be to downgrade this one from BR5 to BR3 or BR4 and the 30-round version to BR5, since Japan is short of SMGs and unless they release something like a Type 100 (Late) with 50 rounds, we need something extra in BR4 even a Tokyo Arsenal with a box magazine sounds good
I’m waiting for MkB 42 to have its fictional 15 round mag changed to 10 first
The document, talking about the Type 100 SMG, referenced earlier attempts at designing a submachine gun with the Type 1 and Type 2 SMGs. We’re only focusing on the details about the Type 2 SMG here.
Wait, if it says Type 100 there, then it really was a 50-round magazine?
I’m waiting for MkB 42 to have its fictional 15 round mag changed to 10 first
I’m sure we’d all like a BR1 assault rifle
They should change the model too, then. Hopefully they just do that plus increase mag size to 30, instead of creating a second gun in the tech tree, leaving the 20 round version be just a waste of research points, like they did with AVT-40 15 and 20.
