I was thinking, that the Soviets should be given the SU 152, or ISU 152. it would be the perfect defense against the Tiger 1 and 2. Here is how the balance would work the ISU 152 and IS 152 by default in War Thunder have slow reload speeds. so that would give the Axis a chance at counter-firing it while it is unable to fire back.

It would be unpopular. Soviet players already hate the 122 gun reload speed. The isu 152 would only bring tears

I think soviets need more 100mm guns. Since SU-100 can easily destroy tiger 2h through turret cheeks.
So tanks like T-44-100, T-34-100 or IS-1 with 100mm (Object 248) is what Soviets really need.

Personally, I’d put the T-44 in the tech tree, make the T-34-100 premium, and make the object 248 an event reward.

SU-122 or ISU-122 would by better. The 152 would be okay but they would have to add the Jagtiger with the 128mm gun. To have the ISU-152 without a proper counter would be very difficult to play against and play with.
Why didn’t anyone just consider buffing IS-2 reload time?
Is it somekind of unspoken crime I don’t know about?

I don’t know but historically speaking IS-2 is already at its peak performance it reloads at 21 seconds and with 20%(10%? Not sure) reload speed it will reload at 16.8(18.9) second which is better than real life at best IS-2s RPM was 3 to 4

I agree with that I’m always saying the game should not follow reality 1to1 but too much alterations might cuase unease in cumunity at best 4 second buff will be given to IS-2 to match its historical peak of 4 rounds per min but it doesn’t stop me from wanting object 248 which has the almost the same pen as IS-2 with close reload time to Tiger 2

In truth, IS2 1944 is ALREADY very competitive, and can win easily in duel with KT(H)… ppl complain just because it’s not copy paste or better than it’s counterpart.
If anything, I PREFER the IS2 1944, because it’s more maneuverable. It can reverse so fast, it’s a huge advantage. Those same ppl complaining somehow always forget the positive details the IS2 1944 have over KT(H).
Not saying is2 is better. It’s probably not. But do all things really need to be identical, like that weird ass44 as (BETTER) copy paste to stg44?

I want the Sturmpanzer2. Because it’s hilarious to use. And I want it to roll a bit backwards when it shoots, like in wt.
Which means that it will be main tech tree because we cant get normal stuff for free.
Howitzer on tracks, like the Soviet B4 203mm, which has even stronger recoil
Double the reload speed with even worse armor and lacking defense against Infantry, seems legit
