Give shovels an ability to slightly restore terrain of a bomb crater

Bomb craters on certain maps can completely block passage for vehicles. Heavy tanks got a chance to get out but other tanks or APCs can’t get over the crater.
For example, on New Guinea map Airfield side offender tank respawn on 4th cap-point, which is between the trenches and coastal ruins, a 1000lb bomb crater at the middle of the road will block most vehicles.
So, giving shovels an ability to flatten the terrain a little would help, also allows shovels to dig directly beneath a vehicle (but half the effiency maybe).
Dig or restore selection can function the same way as rifle grenade or fire mode selection.

You’re absolutely right!
Sometimes there is only one way. The road he was on was full of holes and cracks.
My transport trucks or tanks couldn’t move forward at all.
At least let me get off the vehicle, clean the floor, or use TNT to blow up the tank wreckage, etc. This would be more fair.

I once wrote a thread about expanding the shovel’s functionality. Filling holes, creating embankments, leveling soil, creating small areas of dry land in shallow water suitable for construction, and so on.

I think it’s worth updating and expanding this thread.

Once they were asked to do too many things and they didn’t have the ability to fulfill them, they just gave up.

It’s safer to make the request seem somewhat achievable in small steps.

All they need to to, it to be able to dig a smooth ramp, would allow for even fortifications to be dug to hull down tanks.

I agree shovels are kinda underrated and aslong your team can hold enemy for more than 5 minutes You can do some pretty good defensive Stuff

indeed, would be nice to keep on filling the creeper craters with dirt even outside MC, it is a duty

Negative nancy is on again, trolling obvious yes polls with a no. Cmon! Leaving holes and wreckage is strategic like taking out bridges, dams or trainlines in like proper war. So all should have abilities to clear the baracades with tnts, shovels etc. Xxx
