How many squads do you need 
8 squads including one paratrooper. Now I have 9, but Im planning to stick with 8.

The answer is “yes”
that being said, I do wish the squad slots were optional as it would free up options for thematic presets and presets when you run out of squads.
Paratrooper spawn camera is till terrible. Due to the paratrooper jump selection camera position certain jump area cannot be selected as it is outside of the screen, other jumpable area get blocked off by the squad selection UI.

The spawn screen really needs a “Alt + Zoom” function … it would help move away from the issue of spawn points being behind the squad selection bar too.

Kind of a off topic topic , but from my experience ( please correct me if i’m wrong ) is it wrong that there seems to be at least a 3 second gap between you deploying the parachute and you slowing down from the air resistance.
