Give credit and score for artillery kills if the soldier that called it in is dead

Currently artillery strikes only give you kills and score if the soldier you used to call in the strike is alive. This encourages camping in the gray zone as the attacker since artillery can be called in every 1 and a half minutes.

As a Japan main bot farmer, there is no incentive to push the objective after calling in artillery since if I get shot, I lose credit and score for the 20-30 kills I will be receiving for that strike.

I think you get the score and kills already.

As far as i know you still get the credit, you just don’t see it on the awards message list

That’s if you switch to a different soldier, for instance if you call in the strike as your medic, then switch to your engineer to push up to the point to build a rally point, you will receive score and kills but it won’t tell you. (Medic must be alive though)

So if you call in the strike as the engineer or other squad member and they die, you won’t recive kills or score for it.

Not if they die.

Maybe your’re right, but I remember that sometimes when I die after calling in artillery I see that it still credits the kills to you(for example it would say BarrelTunic in the killfeed, but on your screen it wouldn’t say you got kills or score).

you will receive kills and score, you just wont receive notification about kills and score.

That’s what I thought.

Not true AFAIK - I’m sure I’ve had dead soldiers credited with the score and will check when I play later today.

It does though?
